I wash my hair everyday with shampoo and conditioner. Then i blowdry and straighten in with an strai

iron. What effects will this have on my hair later on. I dont use any products or protectant. How long will it be until my hair turns disgusting and burnt?

I wash my hair everyday with shampoo and conditioner. Then i blowdry and straighten in with an straightening?

Thats too much stress on your hair sweetie, your hair will start to become dry and brittle after a while . Try washing your hair every other day or once a week if you can. Limit the blow dryer and flat iron at the same time ... do one or the other . And go to the beauty supply store and buy a protectant for heat so that you wont dry your hair too much. And if you need to blow dry and flat iron , buy a cermaic flat iron , it causes way less damage to your hair.

I wash my hair everyday with shampoo and conditioner. Then i blowdry and straighten in with an straightening?

if its expensive, and on the label of the box it usually says if its REAL ceramic Report It

I wash my hair everyday with shampoo and conditioner. Then i blowdry and straighten in with an straightening?

You dont need to wash your hair everyday, eventually washing your hair everyday will cause it to dry out.

And wouldnt it be easier just to start using heat protectant?

I suggest your buy one than you ont have this problem =D

I wash my hair everyday with shampoo and conditioner. Then i blowdry and straighten in with an straightening?

well i have been staitaning my hair for two years so nothing. but it gets dry when you straiten it but, once you wash it again you start all over so your hair wont have any damage

I wash my hair everyday with shampoo and conditioner. Then i blowdry and straighten in with an straightening?

exactly wat happened to mine the ends snap of and your all all falls out !!

its really scary but now im treating it and stop straightning it ?

I wash my hair everyday with shampoo and conditioner. Then i blowdry and straighten in with an straightening?

I wash my hair 2-3 times a week. Blow dry then straighten.

Ive been straightening it without blowdry for almost 6 months, everyone kept on telling me that it's a bad thing, but they're all wrong, nothing happened, and for like one month, I've been straightening my hair everyday and nothing happened, it does not burn.

o and i dont use protectant either, nothing bad happens anyway. People just say that the straightener will burn your hair, but they only say that in commercials so u can buy their 'protectant'products

I wash my hair everyday with shampoo and conditioner. Then i blowdry and straighten in with an straightening?

You need to cut back on the blow drying and curling iron as with you not conditioning to condition your hair it will get dull, burnt and split ends in no time. Try to at least do a deep conditioning once a week to help repair any damage you may have now.

u see the hot air comes from the machines can cause our hair lot of probelms and it may affect ur head

Questions about getting hair professionally chemically straightened?

I have thick curly frizzy hair. I have always wanted to have it straight. Ive purchased a expenisve salon quality ceramic straightener but even that cant tame my hair and takes forever to do.. I mean.. we are talking hours.. and thats not something I want to do every AM.

Do you think that chemically straightening hair works good? Was your hair still frizzy after? How long does it last? Will I still have to use the flat iron every morning? Someone told me it costs 200-300 dollars. Is this accurate.

Any tips/advice/feedback on this subject would be great.

Questions about getting hair professionally chemically straightened?

Try the Japanese Straightening Perm. I have had a handful of friends get it done, and their hair looks so soft and shiny. Apparently the Japanese straightening perm is also supposed to not be damaging to your hair.

As for the price, it depends on how long your hair is and where you live.

I am from the NYC area, so it can run from $250 and up.

Questions about getting hair professionally chemically straightened?

I did that once but instead of getting it straight I got it permed and my hair fried it was bad it took me more than a year to fix my hair back to normal.

Questions about getting hair professionally chemically straightened?

wow 200-300 dollars? no.. mine cost $65.. im not sure about your hair type, mines just really puffy but its thin... but for me it was amazing all my frizzy puffiness was gone and it lasted about 5 months.. sometimes i had to straighten it because there would be like a wave at the bottom or something but thats just because im OBSESSED with having ridiculously straight hair.

as for the damage, yes that can be a problem but if you take good care of your hair (proper shampoos, dont dye it often) than it should be fine.

i guess the best thing to do would be to find a good place to get it done because i can imagine some places can do a bad job and ask the hairdresser any further questions. they would know best.

If you straighten your hair every other day how long will it be until the damage shows?

straightening hair every other day with the heat at around160 degrees C, and using TRESemme heat defence. also using TRESemme protect shampoo and conditioner.

the hair straighteners are corioliss.

how long until the damage would be noticable?

If you straighten your hair every other day how long will it be until the damage shows?

I used mine the same as you, and it was for 18mths. I had to have my hair cut, it was way too long. All that was wrong really was at the ends, they had become dry. There was no other damage.

After I had my hair cut I quite liked it curly again, so only straighten it now when I feel like a change. xXx

If you straighten your hair every other day how long will it be until the damage shows?

Depends on your hair.

If you straighten your hair every other day how long will it be until the damage shows?

It is very good that your using a defence but still if you have thin hair it will take about a year to a year and a half, normal to thick is about 3 years, but if you blowdry it will be shorter

If you straighten your hair every other day how long will it be until the damage shows?

Very very soon

If you straighten your hair every other day how long will it be until the damage shows?

pretty soon.

If you straighten your hair every other day how long will it be until the damage shows?

depending on ur hair type to begin wiv but i am 14 i hav been straightning mine near enough everyday for the last 4 years.. i regret it now but i still carry on doing it as its sort of like an addiction the slightest flik or kink n u want it out. well i hav to have mine regulary trimmed bout every 4 months as my dead ends ar awful and even starts to break of at the top wich is scary. u mentioned heat products well i think its charles worthington i hav not sure :S:S but aussie 3 minutes mirracle conditioner keeps ur hair in nice condition and keeps ur har straight for ages and leave it lukin luvly

hope my advice it ok cummin from a 14 year old girl lol

good luck xxxx

If you straighten your hair every other day how long will it be until the damage shows?

depends on what type of hair you have.

If you straighten your hair every other day how long will it be until the damage shows?

The damage will be noticeable pretty quickly,i reckon. Can't you do something else with it on alternate days? just tie it back for example? I think life is too short to be doing this stuff everyday.

If you straighten your hair every other day how long will it be until the damage shows?

i've straightened my hair every day for 3 years and it is barely damaged...

use shampoos for damaged hair

and infusion 53 or something like that

If you straighten your hair every other day how long will it be until the damage shows?

Firstly if you are protecting your hair with heat protector spray, there should be minimal damage!! If not using you should consider there are plenty on the market to choose from. Any heat on the hair will damage if not protected so naturally over time you will notice your ends getting dryer depending on the lenght of time the straightners are placed on the hair.

If you straighten your hair every other day how long will it be until the damage shows?

The thinner the hair, the more damage at a quicker rate. It's good you use a heat defence product prior to straightening, but I would recommend that you don't straighten your hair daily as it will damage your hair, no matter what protecting products you use. Try to occasionally blowdry your hair, it may cause less damage... just use a good hairdryer and a vent brush (remember to use heat defence products here as well).

If you straighten your hair every other day how long will it be until the damage shows?

it will probably just give u split end just get Ur hair trimmed every month and us a heat protect spray when straighting and u should be fine

If you straighten your hair every other day how long will it be until the damage shows?

Down to your knees lol

If you straighten your hair every other day how long will it be until the damage shows?

while using the heat defense the heat can still damage your hair. when this damage begins showing make sure you go in for a trim. The second you forget to use the heat defense the damage will show immediatly. but with it i say a week or two. to keep the split ends away longer use extra product on the ends of your hair that is where the damage starts

If you straighten your hair every other day how long will it be until the damage shows?

look sweetie don't ever straiten ur hair every other day u will look like a ma who is bald u will lose all ur hair and the damages will show in about 2-3 months so don't even try it

If you straighten your hair every other day how long will it be until the damage shows?

you should just get your hair permanently straightened than just curl it when you want it curly. you would be safe by doing that than takin the risk and damaging your hair!

hope i helped

If you straighten your hair every other day how long will it be until the damage shows?

Depends

I straighten my hair every other day or sometimes daily with a GHD and tressemme heat defensive spray and it's in good health, but it depends on your hair type

I suggest using Aussie 3 minute miracle once a week to deep condition your hair, also use the tresemme smoothing serum (the white stuff) to tame flyways after straightening

Curling my hair with a diffuser?

I have naturally curly hair and my whole life I've dried it straight. Since life has become more hectic lately I've decided to ditch the 2 hour hair straightening routine to go for the natural curls. Typically I'd just put in some curling spray gel and scrunch, pull the front back in a barette and just let it air dry. The curls were cute, but hard.

Recently I had my hair cut in layers to help the curl and my stylist dried with a difusser. I can't figure this out. She told me what to do and obviously showed me, too. I don't know if I'm using the wrong product now, (Tresseme curling mousse and curl milk/cream) or what.

I washed, conditioned, patted dry with the towel, put in the mousse and cream, put the difusser on the dryer, turned it on low heat, low speed like I was told--it's just poofing and not being curly. I scrunched, I had my head upside down...

How on earth do I do this?

Curling my hair with a diffuser?

Not sure about diffusing as i don't do it. Maybe these links will help.

Good luck and congrats on embracing your curls!

Curling my hair with a diffuser?

My friend who styles hair taught me and she said to put a very light defrizzer %26amp; tamer and I do not do it upside down- justscrunch as you said and diffuse- but do not touch until dry... I do not know if it helps but she said the key is the light defrizzer and that people put too much weight...

Humidity and straightened hair?

i know it's pretty much impossible to keep ALL humidity away from hair, but please let me know if you have any idea.

tomorrow, i have picture day, right after my strength training class (which is basically gym...) we spend most of the class outside running around the track. is there anyway i can keep my hair from getting wavy after i run? it's naturally curly, so...yeah.

will putting it up help? since i like, sweat on the back of my neck? i don't know...just a thought.

and the products i have available to me are:

- paul mitchell super skinny serum.

- paul mitchell gloss drops.

- s-factor shine spray.

- garnier fructis smoothing milk.

- regular hairspray.

- alterna hemp seed straightening balm.

those are the products i THINK would help.

i use a chi flat iron, if that's important (for those who don't know, it's a pretty good one.)

please help!

Humidity and straightened hair?

Couldn't you bring your straightening iron with you and go over your hair quickly after your strength training? I would think that would be the most ideal solution.

Humidity and straightened hair?

The smoothing milk from Garnier Fructis works well

Humidity and straightened hair?

Straighten Hair Before Piccys?

Even Maybe Hair Spray

You Wont Know It When It Photos :D

Humidity and straightened hair?

I have curly hair, too. On days like yours, I just put it in a little updo like style. I twist it all up and put a small grabby clip on each side of the twist around the middle or so. Then I let the curls hang down in the back over the twist.

Humidity and straightened hair?

ok so why wouldnt you try yo use them ganier smoothing milk is good ans there anti humdity line and also sunsilk de-frizz 24/7 cream ummm the paul mitchell super skinny serum didnt do to good it was to oily

Humidity and straightened hair?

definetly put it upp and try not to do alot of exersice

Humidity and straightened hair?

I have really thin hair that has a natural wave. I like my hair straight i use super skinny serum. I LOVE IT. It keeps my hair healthy, smooth and straight all day.

Humidity and straightened hair?

Why should it matter if you are running before your picture? Dont you take a shower after gym anyways? Use the CHI - i have one, it is amazing!

Humidity and straightened hair?

Yep. S-factor shine spray. If you could manage to find a defrizzer that would help, too. But otherwise, spray hairspray in your hands and rub it in problem areas of your hair. It should make it stay and also not have that hard look.

Humidity and straightened hair?

After you straighten your hair you can put it up in a tight clip and curl the ends. Or you can do you hair real nice and have you mom or dad right a not saying that you had a really bad upset stomach last night and do not have you run until you have been over your stomach flu for a couple of days.

Humidity and straightened hair?

there is NO WAY your hair will stay in tact the whole day, especially if you have gym before anything else.... i always try to avoid gym class routines when i straighten my hair, sometimes it gets me into trouble and sometimes the gym teacher doesn't care.... but it's worth it! especially after spending hours on the 'do'.

Humidity and straightened hair?

try a loose bun it might help. instead of leaving waves.

Humidity and straightened hair?

I've had this problem because I have been addicted to straightening my hair since freshman year and now I'm almost 20.

I would say try some hair serum, like that john frieda frizz ez stuff.. it's about 5-7 bucks and it comes in a clear bottle. You put about a quarter size amount after you shower when your hair is soaked, then blow dry it straight, then straighten it with a straightening iron. Maybe add some hair spray. That should help.

And if you are going to be really sweating then put it up loosely so you won't get a big crease.

Humidity and straightened hair?

I hate to tell you but, you may have to wear it curly. If you sweat, your hair is wet and will return to it''s natural shape. There is no way you could get it straight unless you dried it, and then flatened again. If you pull it up, you may end up with those indentions from scrunchies....I think the best thing to do is to barely work out in gym class, wear it down, and wipe the sweat away from your head as often as possible.

Good Luck

Humidity and straightened hair?

my school doesn't make you take classes like that on picture days. take a personal day for that class if your school offers them. your best bet would to but the straightening balm in while your hair is wet, let it airdry, straighten it, then spray it with hairspray.

Humidity and straightened hair?

OOOOOOOOH I HAVE CURLY HAIR TOO... AND I GO TO THE GYM SO WHAT I DO IS I GRAB MY HAIR AND I TWIST IT UP.. THAT WAY YOU WONT HAVE ANY OF THOSE ANOYING PONITAIL MARKS ON YOUR HAIR AND USE PINS.... TAKE YOUR BRISTLE BRUSH AND SOME STRAIGHTENING BALM....... IF ALL COMES TO WORSE JUST TAKE YOUR CHI IRON FOR EMERGENCY....( BETTER TO BE OVER PREPARED THEN UNDER)

Humidity and straightened hair?

Everyone is different. Garnier doesn't do anything for me. I like sunsilk but my hair still gets frizzy. It would prob b best 2 wash it 2night and straighten it. In the morning just go over it some with the flat iron. The day after I wash mine always looks better. Frizz ease works pretty good too

Y would u have to run b4 you take pics. What kind of school does that!? Taking pics already?

Humidity and straightened hair?

I have curly hair in the humidity also, and i hate it. I just straighten my hair (chi is great ;) ) and do a french twist to tuck it up under a baseball cap to keep it from exposure to humidity. can you not bring a straight iron to class, and use it in the bathroom before pics? Hope everything works out for you!

Humidity and straightened hair?

when i straighten my hair if i want to "maintain" it until i arrive somewhere what i do is put it into a pony tail to secure it temporaily and possibly use a sweat band so it does get poofy then after class comb- dont brush and possibly try Pink- its in the ethnic hair care section and is in an aerosol can thats pink with a black lid its under $5 a can and will last for some time...its a dry oil spray that doesnt make your hair wet- it helps seal in the natural oils and prevents the frizzies and fly aways we all get...itll also boost the shine and health of your hair.....another product i use is VO5 smoothing balm$4 per tube- use a small dot on the key points that youd like to keep calm and take a small dot, rub on hands and run over hair....this should help...Good Luck !!!

For your hair type I would really recommend you Bio Ionic, because it will really "fix" your hair straight. Now, you have multiple choice, you choose. Take care!

Does swimming damage permanently straightened hair??

I have naturally wavy hair, and i hate it. I straighten it a couple times a week but with a spray so i won't damage it. I have considered maybe trying to get it permanently straightening it, would swimming damage it and does just getting it straightened damage lightish brown hair a lot?

Does swimming damage permanently straightened hair??

Chemical straightening will always do damage to your hair, and swimming will damage it more. You can mitigate the damage by putting lots of conditioner in your hair before you get in the pool and keeping it inside a cap. Also use good shampoo and conditioner and trim your ends regularly.

Having light brown hair shouldn't make any difference at all unless your hair is dyed that color. If you have color-treated hair, chemical straightening will FRY your hair, so just don't do it!

Does swimming damage permanently straightened hair??

Permanently straightening it would be damaging enough. I've asked several professionals about this service and every single one of them were very adamant about not doing it. I wouldn't do it if I were you.
