What kind of straightening iron do you use for my kind of hair?

CHI

What kind of straightening iron do you use for my kind of hair?

chi is great for any kind of hair its kinda pricey try e bay for there flat iron! I love mine i have 2 one for my car and one for at home!

What kind of straightening iron do you use for my kind of hair?

get a chi or a magic ionic.

pricey. but sooo worth it.

What kind of straightening iron do you use for my kind of hair?

My daughter has curly hair too and we bought a Sedu and love it. Try the source below, they have good prices and good reviews. Hope that helps.

What kind of straightening iron do you use for my kind of hair?

For your hair type I would really recommend you Bio Ionic, because it will really "fix" your hair straight. Now, you have multiple choice, you choose. Take care!

Does swimming damage permanently straightened hair??

I have naturally wavy hair, and i hate it. I straighten it a couple times a week but with a spray so i won't damage it. I have considered maybe trying to get it permanently straightening it, would swimming damage it and does just getting it straightened damage lightish brown hair a lot?

Does swimming damage permanently straightened hair??

Chemical straightening will always do damage to your hair, and swimming will damage it more. You can mitigate the damage by putting lots of conditioner in your hair before you get in the pool and keeping it inside a cap. Also use good shampoo and conditioner and trim your ends regularly.

Having light brown hair shouldn't make any difference at all unless your hair is dyed that color. If you have color-treated hair, chemical straightening will FRY your hair, so just don't do it!

Does swimming damage permanently straightened hair??

Permanently straightening it would be damaging enough. I've asked several professionals about this service and every single one of them were very adamant about not doing it. I wouldn't do it if I were you.

What chemicals are in Sunsilk Straighten UP? And do those chemicals harm chemically straightened hai

i got my hair chemical straightened/relaxed on Aug. 19th can i used sunsilk straighten up or will it burn/reuen my hair?

What chemicals are in Sunsilk Straighten UP? And do those chemicals harm chemically straightened hair/relaxed?

I'm not sure about ALL the chemicals in it, but I know it has Elastyn-E. It helps smooth down your hair and makes it shiny. Yes it's totally fine to use it in your hair when you have had your hair chemically relaxed or straightened. It'll help your hair if anything.

What chemicals are in Sunsilk Straighten UP? And do those chemicals harm chemically straightened hair/relaxed?

Honey, posting the same question over and over makes people not want to answer you.

We don't know the answer to your question. But if I were to guess then I would say yes, you can use it, as long as it doesn't contain any harsh chemicals that can further damage your hair. Try it once, and if you don't like what it does to your hair, then don't use it anymore.

What chemicals are in Sunsilk Straighten UP? And do those chemicals harm chemically straightened hair/relaxed?

in shampoo chemicals that straigthen hair r usually less or from natural herbs(some herbs straigthen ur hair).

unlike perm and other stuff they have strong straigthening stuff.

What chemicals are in Sunsilk Straighten UP? And do those chemicals harm chemically straightened hair/relaxed?

In all honesty, you should ask the hair stylist who did the chemical treatment on your hair. They are professionals and will know how it will affect your hair.

What chemicals are in Sunsilk Straighten UP? And do those chemicals harm chemically straightened hair/relaxed?

Sunsilk does not have any chemicals in them!!!!!!

Straighten up only contains hydrolyzed elastyn-e to straighten up your hair (which is not bad) Also it contains Vitamin E which is good for your hair.

Why are hair dressers always pretty and have gorgeous hair?

every time i enter a hair dressers the girla there always look perfect and they always have there hair straightened but it never looks ruined why is htis

Why are hair dressers always pretty and have gorgeous hair?

Thanks! - I'm a hair stylist! :) To those that say we spend a lot of time getting ready in the morning, that isn't necessarily true! I literally take about 10 minutes to do my hair (but its short!).

Some of the answers on here are correct though in that when we have some downtime in the salon, we do work on each other for practice or to try something new. Its the best career b/c you can trade services with the nail tech, massage therapist, esthetician, etc. so your hair, nails, body and skin look great! :)

Why are hair dressers always pretty and have gorgeous hair?

Hello, future career! :-D hehehehehee Report It

Why are hair dressers always pretty and have gorgeous hair?

They get lots of mirror time and can 'touch up' whenever a hair is out of place.

Why are hair dressers always pretty and have gorgeous hair?

my friend is a hairdresser and when I go to her house in the mornings -her hair is wrecked like the rest of us.As for why it looks perfect...would you go to a toothless dentist?

Why are hair dressers always pretty and have gorgeous hair?

they should. or else, how would they attract you to go in their saloon.

Why are hair dressers always pretty and have gorgeous hair?

Because they know how to make themselves look really pretty...

Why are hair dressers always pretty and have gorgeous hair?

follow them home, knock on there door after they washed off all that makeup, took out the hair extenions and then you can answer those questions yourself

Why are hair dressers always pretty and have gorgeous hair?

Good question, I'm not sure, but I would say you wouldn't go to a hair dresser that looks like hell. Why they are all hot, I guess only the hot ones want to style hair, and are interested in beauty.

Why are hair dressers always pretty and have gorgeous hair?

They have to its part of the job.You wouldn't let a clown do your makeup so why would you want your hair dresser look like a mess.

Why are hair dressers always pretty and have gorgeous hair?

its their job to make people look nice and if they dont look nice why would someone want 2 go 2 them to look nice...(complicated lol!!)

for example..if you wanted 2 get your hair done 4 your prom at your local hairdressers...and inside you could see women with no make-up..spots..greasy hair..messy clothes..you wouldnt wanna go in init...so thats kinda why lol...

Why are hair dressers always pretty and have gorgeous hair?

it's like promoting their skills to customers, encouraging us to try similar hairstyles or ask for something special, you won't be tempted if they didn't look so good, all smart hairdressers take good care of themselves .

Why are hair dressers always pretty and have gorgeous hair?

Well thank you, i am a hair stylist as well, for starters this is there job, to look their best, it is an image to uphold.

As for the hair not being damaged, they should be using a heat protection product, seals in moisture and guards from damage of flat iron and blow dryers, my favorite is fashionista, but there are many other brands on the market the provide the same protection.

Why are hair dressers always pretty and have gorgeous hair?

Because they work in salons! When they are bored they work on each other. My stylist gets a pedicure every week. Her feet look wonderful! A pedi a week runs $160 here. And hair! Streaks and straightening and styles!! If it costs $20 a session, it would cost a fortune! My mother used to go once a week, I'm lucky to get in there once a month!

Why are hair dressers always pretty and have gorgeous hair?

I don't know where you get to see all your hair dressers. All the ones I see aren't all pretty and one guy I went to had a reverse Mohawk. So, not nice hair, but he cut my hair great. How their hair looks is and isn't a show of how your hair will come out. The probably have someone else do their hair.

Why are hair dressers always pretty and have gorgeous hair?

because they take ages doing it in the mornin!

Why are hair dressers always pretty and have gorgeous hair?

Because their income depends on the fact that they look good. You would not go to a hair dresser with horrible hair, would you?? Many people go to school to become hair dressers. Not all of them are attractive. The ones that aren't usually can't make a living at it and find other work. For instance, a girl that went to high school with my daughter went to cosmetology school. I have known this girl for years. She is sweet, smart, and talented but uglier than a mud fence. She wears her hair in the most unflattering cut and in a color that NO ONE should wear. She graduated from college but is now waiting tables because she can't get hired to do what she trained for. Shop owners know that none of their customers would be likely to give her a chance. Why should they, if she can't do her own hair then how could she be expected to do someone else's??

Why are hair dressers always pretty and have gorgeous hair?

she/he has to be in perfect look to make the customers make the best design and in this way they will be successful in the business and make good money

Why are hair dressers always pretty and have gorgeous hair?

they know how to make themselves pretty

Why are hair dressers always pretty and have gorgeous hair?

because, their job is to make other peoples hair look gorgeous. and they have the resources such as: great straighteners, makeup, hair creams, expensive shampoos

Why are hair dressers always pretty and have gorgeous hair?

I've worked in places where there is the one girl that never does her hair or makeup and you can usually find her sitting at the dryers because she's never busy. You are selling yourself along w/ your trade. I would'nt want anyone to do my hair if they cant even do their own.

I've got naturally curly hair but for the last 18 months have been straightening it?

Now i've decided to give my hair a break from te hairdryer and have it curly but there is just frizz now, does anybody know of anything i can buy to bring the curls back and make my hair more heatlhy. thanks in advance.

I've got naturally curly hair but for the last 18 months have been straightening it?

ok!same way here ..i have curly hair and i strighten it when i want to go back i wet it ...then i apply anti-frizz serum[[any brand]] then i scrunch it alot ..to make then cute use your finger and make spirals ....maybe you could try a combing through before you scrunch so that there are no knots...if you have any more questions, ill be glad to answer

I've got naturally curly hair but for the last 18 months have been straightening it?

two words... Soul Glow

I've got naturally curly hair but for the last 18 months have been straightening it?

Get a leave in treatment to start with to repair the damage. next up try some frizz ease by john frieda. i swear by it! i use the anti frizz serrum and dream curls spray. works wonders on my frizz!

I've got naturally curly hair but for the last 18 months have been straightening it?

since you have been straightening your hair for quite a while, it is probably dried out.

i suggest that first you go to a salon and get some sort of hydrating mask or treatment for your hair.

and as for products, i'd suggest either

herbal essences none of your frizzness or herbal essences totally twisted.

I've got naturally curly hair but for the last 18 months have been straightening it?

u dont have to buy this...u can go bald then grow it back

I've got naturally curly hair but for the last 18 months have been straightening it?

dont do frizzease. i hate that crap.... the dove products work wonders. i have horrible frizzy curly hair.

I've got naturally curly hair but for the last 18 months have been straightening it?

i think your curly hair will be back for some time. from my experience i naturally have straight black hair. but i made it curly and bronze and then my hair was really dry. and then i went to sauna room and put a lot of hair conditioner on my hair.. unbelievable i've been doing that for only 2-3 days,, my hair became healthy again.

I've got naturally curly hair but for the last 18 months have been straightening it?

John Frieda makes an anti-frizz... um... It's called "Curl Around" shampoo and conditioner. Besides smelling amazing, it really does smooth out frizz, and if your hair is naturally prone to curls, it will help bring them back. It's not the best curling shampoo out there, but it's pretty good for your hair and it's not horridly expensive. (Dove is good and moisturizing, but it will leave nasty build-up in your hair.) When you get out of the shower, let your hair dry to dampness and mix a little bit of gel with some leave-in conditioner and spray it in your hair. Lightly comb through and tussle it. After that you could try winding your damp hair around some foam rollers - the foam will be gentle on your damaged hair. If you're having frizz problems, I'd stay away from a curling iron. It will only make it worse :)

I've got naturally curly hair but for the last 18 months have been straightening it?

try some frizz ease by john frieda, i swear by it!

I've got naturally curly hair but for the last 18 months have been straightening it?

my friend said john frieda is really good

Why does my hair get staticky while I'm straightening it?

This has kind of been bugging me...is there anything I can do to stop it or is it just like that?

Why does my hair get staticky while I'm straightening it?

It sounds like your hair is dry. I would use a moisturizing shampoo and conditioner as your first step. Don't use the cheap stuff as their products tend to put a coat of wax over your hair. Your hair will feel really soft, but after a while it will start to look really bad and weighed down. Your next step would be to get a heat activated spray to put on your hair while it is still wet. Then you blow dry and straighten. You shouldn't have any problems after about a week of doing this. I personally have really dry hair and I use Matrix Shampoo and Conditioner. It does the trick for me. I don't have to use a special spray.

Why does my hair get staticky while I'm straightening it?

take Dove Advanced Care Intense Damage Therapy Heat Shield Styling Spray. It's really cheap. i got it for 2.50. Use it before you straighten it and it will help.

Why does my hair get staticky while I'm straightening it?

Because you're sucking out all of the moisture. Depending on your hair you want to make sure to extra-condition if you frequently straighten your hair. i.e. if youhave curly hair aleave in might be a good choice. Also, if you color and straighten, a mask would really help. If you don'twant to do this, or if your hair is thin, you can always try a serum that you put in (a little goes a long way!!) dry hair and then straighten. You'll see steam, but it's just the serum burning off this time, not your hair!

Why does my hair get staticky while I'm straightening it?

It mainly happens if you straighten too often without using a protective heat spray.

Personally i use a prouduct by GHD, and have never suffered the problem; but Tresemme Heat Defence produces similar results (:

Overly straightened hair.. please help!!!?

okayy about a year ago i started straightening my hair, and it's totally ruined and horrible now!

so then to look nice i need to straighten it, but its in really bad condition.

i have GHD's and i swear by them because theyr soo good and all, and i use heat protection..

but what can i do now?? xxx thanks

Overly straightened hair.. please help!!!?

Hi mine is exactly the same but mine is also from colouring and bleaching it alot too.

What heat protection Spray do you use ? I know some work better than others and you need one that will protect your hair in high temperatures as ghds are very hot.

Also using a shampoo and conditoner that also protects against heat damage, Tresemme do one for weak brittle damaged hair, which is good, and also use a hair masque twice a week and use a leave in condioner as well before you straighten, also hair serum is good, fructise do a good one, and so do avon.

Overly straightened hair.. please help!!!?

speak to a professional hairdresser they will help you,,

Overly straightened hair.. please help!!!?

cut your hair to get ride of some of the damaged ends . deep condition. and maybe lay off the straighting a tad. o yea and try straightening on the lowest setting possible.

Overly straightened hair.. please help!!!?

give you hair a break from straightening, you have probably damaged the cuticles. If you still want that overly straight look you could try hair swift extensions (no damage to hair) and then you may not have to straighten it as much plus you get the volume. Start getting products that are restorative for your hair and let it have a break, it's not fair on it. For more on extensions go to www.tashasbeauty.co.nz

Overly straightened hair.. please help!!!?

Go to the hair salon and tell them your hair is very unhealthy right now. They'll usually offer some kind of treatment to soften your hair. You're supposed to do those like once a month and if you do it once a month, your split ends and stuff will go away. Don't straighten your hair as much. Even if it does look bad. Mousse or gel it. lol I have super curly hair so it takes me 2 hours to straighten mine! You're lucky you can do it almost every day! i do it like once a month!

~hope my answer helps!

Overly straightened hair.. please help!!!?

1st of all! Stop putting the heat in you hair. Even using heat protection products doesn't totally stop the damage that heat does 2 your hair. You may want 2 try cutting away your damaged ends no matter how short your hair will be. Next you need 2 find a good routine for hair including a good shampoo and conditioner and daily hair care. The keep 2 African American hair is keeping it moisturized. You may want 2 try a sew-in. With this hairstyle you can do whatever you want 2 the weave while your real hair is protected and growing underneath.

Overly straightened hair.. please help!!!?

get your hair cut to get rid of the split ends (your supposed to get it cut every 6 weeks!) you can also by home repairing kits and hair masks which will condition your hair. and only straighten your hair when you need to.. you can put your hair up sometimes or try scrunching it.

Overly straightened hair.. please help!!!?

Im not sure, but i think that olive oil is good for damaged hair. Hope it helps!!

Overly straightened hair.. please help!!!?

there is a great product called 'cholesteral' its a deep conditioner. it works really well for fried hair. also cut a few inches off ur hair cause the ends get very dry and thats usually what starts to look bad when damaged. also use tresseme heat protection spray. they also have shampoo and conditioner that is to protect from heat. you going to have to try to straighten your hair less often or if your straightener has a tempature setting use it on the lowest heat level.

Overly straightened hair.. please help!!!?

-buy a moisturizing shampoo and conditoner

-deep conditon once a week

-buy a hot oil treatment

-take vitamins

Overly straightened hair.. please help!!!?

Go straight to the shop! you are going to have to get your hair cut. Go to someone who specialize in growing hair not just styling hair.

Overly straightened hair.. please help!!!?

u need to start treating your hair with antibreakage hair treatments. best thing is to go to your hairdressers. you will sit in a steamer for about 20mins and then u should have you hair dried under a hood drier. u dont have to use straightners but the hair turns out fab

Overly straightened hair.. please help!!!?

USE A DEEP CONDITIONER AND LEAVE IT IN FOR A COUPLE MINUTES.

Burt's Bees works wonderfully.

http://www.burtsbees.com/webapp/wcs/stor...

Overly straightened hair.. please help!!!?

I know how you feel i went through the same thing, get a trim to cut off some of the dead ends and also use moisturizing shampoos and conditions, apply leave in conditioner for the day and do a deep conditioner once a week and that should make it healthier

Overly straightened hair.. please help!!!?

Stop! Stop! Stop!, No more straightening for a while. Give your hair some good conditioning treatment every week. Use TRESPAK reconstructor. This will bring back the nutrients into your hair, that has being snatched away by heat, heat, heat. All you need to do is to put the treatment in your after shampoo, leave it on for 30 mins, then wash it out, and put some conditioner for finish. Do this once a week, you will see changes.

Overly straightened hair.. please help!!!?

get it trimmed abit, then take care of it and try not to straighten your hair too much.

Overly straightened hair.. please help!!!?

STOP STRAIGHTENING IT!! HAHAHA. I dont use mine now unless i curl my hair or flick it up. I only blow dry my hair as slip ends were coming. Id say get your hasir trimmed first, then deep wash it like proper condition it etc and wrap it in a towel for a while and stop using irons on it for a while. Use less products on it as the less u use the more healtly it will look and feel better. I only shampoo mine at mo and blow dry it and ive noticed it looks lovely and is smoother. The more products u use also will make it greasy and look worse so use less and dont use so much heat on it and leave it be to mend itself naturally

Overly straightened hair.. please help!!!?

Get it cut regurlarly to sort the ends out.

Use a deep condtioning treatment!! L'oreal do good ones for different hair types, and also Mark Hill %26amp; Paul Mitchell do porducts especially to combat heat damage!

try blowdrying it straight, it should last longer and you won't need to be straightening it the next day.

dont srtaighten your hair when your just sitting indoors that day! its pointlessss!

Overly straightened hair.. please help!!!?

Had the same problem you need to stop using the straightens; if a good hairdresser's you will be probably have to have regular treatments and instead of straightens they will wrap you hair and stick you under the dryer - much better and the body will return and it will stop breaking

I won't be bone straight but it will look healthy

I have straight hair, but i want to get thermal reconditioning(japanese straightening perm). would i

would it be ok for my hair and would people let me do it?

I have straight hair, but i want to get thermal reconditioning(japanese straightening perm). would it work?

i had a strainght hair but used to get wavy by evening if I leave it loose.. so i got this japanese straigtening done like 2yrs ago and i still have my ends of the hair like stick straight.. first one year it stayed exactly like Japanese hair.. these days it looks more natural

but... I liked it when i got it done...... no maintanance..hair doesnt need a comb also.. it was so gr8.. zero maintanance for almost more than an year :)

Everyone wont encourage as they didnot for me.. they were always complaing abt the money... y do you want to spend so much when your hair is already straight.. thats waht they say :)

I have straight hair, but i want to get thermal reconditioning(japanese straightening perm). would it work?

It would probably make it much straighter like stick straight. Of course people would let you do it

I have straight hair, but i want to get thermal reconditioning(japanese straightening perm). would it work?

yea i got it but if your hair is straight it will probably make ur hair flatter

I have straight hair, but i want to get thermal reconditioning(japanese straightening perm). would it work?

i think it would. i wanted to do the same thing to my hair. i am still thinkin about it. ~melanie~

I have straight hair, but i want to get thermal reconditioning(japanese straightening perm). would it work?

I have done it, and it works great. the only problems is that it is VERY expensive, and you need to do the touch ups every few months. If you dont want it straight anymore, or you dont want to pay for the touch ups- you need to cut your hair off.

I have straight hair, but i want to get thermal reconditioning(japanese straightening perm). would it work?

Possibly....but it helps that you have virgin hair (no chemical processes at all) and you hair must be in good condition since it's a chemical process and the use of a hot flat iron on damp hair on top of that.

If you hair is already straight, I don't quit understand why you'd want to make it even straighter since it will limit you to certain styles.

Can't straighten hair?

My hair turned slightly curly a few years ago for no reason. No one in my family has naturally curly hair, so I don't know what happened.

Anyway, it's not really tight curls, it's loose curls and I like it, but there are times I want to straighten it, but nothing I do works.

Forget blow-drying, all that does is make it all frizzy and poofy, and if I try to use a flat iron, it takes an hour before it even resembles straight (it still isn't though.)

I have tried tons of frizz-taming and straightening products to go along with a flat iron. Nothing works.

Can't straighten hair?

yes - forget the blow dry...i have same problem with this, i found out what really help me

go to http://www.trueceramicpro.com/

i love this true ceramin pro hair hot straight... this one had very powerful hot 140 to 400 set...my is very curly hair and are stubborn with other kind of diffenter hair straight flat iron, didn't work to me and didn't have 400 set this one only had higher 400 set! but this one is work to me! so i put 400 set wow totally hair straight quick i didn't even used help hair straight spray or anything i did all the naturally and my hair came beautiful and shine! hope this help! * watch the Spanish lady who had alot of curly and did make it hair straight * its soo amazing you can get that and try it! hope this help

Can't straighten hair?

straighteing it with the iron is the best thing. try anti friz serium and straightening shampoo. definintely don't blow dry it though.

Can't straighten hair?

use a hair straightener thing... and use spray so it stays for i think maybe a day

Can't straighten hair?

Ask your stylist for silicone gel.

Can't straighten hair?

same thing happened to me! nothing seems to work. maybe straighten it while its wet with a wet or dry flat iron?

Can't straighten hair?

maybe if u go to the salon and ask them they can help u

Can't straighten hair?

If you want your hair to actually be straight then you need to get a quality hair straightener. If it is $60 of more it means it's good. (For example i got mine for $100 and it is the best thing I ever bought for my hair) Never try blow drying straight unless you flat iron afterwards. Never ever ever ever ever attempt straightening your hair while it is wet. It will only dry your hair out and give you split ends and damage it. Trust me, I had to cut my hair really short because of split ends (not pretty)

Can't straighten hair?

So what exactly are you asking? Try getting a nice hair perm :)

Can't straighten hair?

I know ppl who use actual irons to get their hair straight... Sounds crazy huh?? I know I've seen them have their mom do it...lol... I was dying

Can't straighten hair?

I have the same problem with my hair. You do need to blow dry it my hair gets big and frizzy to but it really helps. Oh also put gel in it before you dry it. Then straighten it. It might have a few spots that go back to being a little bit wavy but trust me you get used to it. Also maybe your straight iron isn't strong enough mine was about 100 dollars. But also just some time defuse it keep the natural wave.

Can't straighten hair?

if you layered your hair then maybe that's what made it curly. that's what happened to me. Try chemically straightening your hair a friend of mine did and her hair looks pretty just make sur you don't get a cheap one because then your hair might get worse that what happened with my sister and it totally frizzed her hair and made it dry.

Can't straighten hair?

Maybe the problem isn't what you're using but how you're using it? My hair is curly too. I can tell you what works from experience, because for years I didn't know how to straighten it on my own. Never attempt to start on soaking wet hair. Let it air dry a bit first. Do your make-up or eat breakfast first if it's in the a.m. You need to comb both a heat-protectant spray or lotion and a straightening balm though your hair. Then pin most of it up, and work in SMALL sections. As you dry the underlayers, gradually let sections of hair loose til you've done your whole head. Then run a striaghtening iron though ONLY THE PIECES that need it, in SMALL sections.

Can't straighten hair?

Hmmm... try http://www.paulmitchell.com/Products/Pau... before drying your hair, then try the flat iron after.... hope it works for you , good luck~ oh, and im sure ou can get the product in the hair salon :]

Can't straighten hair?

Get a GHD because they are the best. They never seem to fail. My hair used to be very long and wavy and the GHD worked. I got it cut and now its so much easier so maybe think about that otherwise i do no know!

Good Luck!

Can't straighten hair?

is it the frizz your having problems with or the curls?

Curls can be ironed out, but some straightening irons are better then others, no matter if the specification on the box is the same as, GHDs are the only straighteners I have found that work. It does take time, an hour is excessive but it could be if you have alot of hair it takes this long.

When you are straightening your hair, do you do it all at once? or in sections, as if you want to iron the same peice of hair over and over again, it will be fried and will become frizzy and wont look or feel good. You need to take your hair in sections, if you ever go to the hairdresser, watch what they do, they take it section by section until its flat and straight, they do it slowly and thy use heat protecting sprays. Always start with an underneath section, this is because after you have done a section and you let it fall down onto your head, it will still be warm and will mould to the hair underneath it. If the hair underneath it is not straight, you will just end up with hair thats only partialy straight, and als end up really frustrated!

When I take my hair in sections I first brush all of my hair over to the other ear, my hair is then in one seew and all in the same direction.

The I section a bit off and brush it down the normal way, straight down.

THE SECTION I TAKE IS ON WIDER THEN ONE INCH!! less if you have patience.

Then spray the section with heat protecting spray, brush this through and follow with the straightnening irons, slowly, repeat if your hair isnt straight enough.

Carry on doing one inch width sections until you reach your centre parting.

Then flick over your hair to the other ear. Repeat but on the new side.

Yu may need help on the back ot your head, as you cannot see it, but if you cannot get help, try the same method of doint a section at a time, starting at the bottom.

When your done, finish off with hair spray.

Also, I have used Boots 'straighten' fo hair, its a treatment and you apply it a bit like if you were going to be dyeing you hair (instructions in the box) it is effective and does make a difference, but you'll still need to use straightening irons, just not as much.

Can't straighten hair?

Mine's the same way. Not tight curls, but far from straight. And you're right ... blow-drying just makes it a frizzy, poofy mess (no matter what products I use!) and the flat iron takes forever, and the results are never worth the effort. LOL

My "everyday" fix is to apply a leave-in conditioner before brushing, followed by some Friz-ez (spelling?) before using one of those round brush-style dryers after washing. It keeps the follicle smooth and flat rather than poofy and frizzy, like regular blow-drying, and I don't generally have to use it again until the next wash. Only problem is that you'll have to perfect your own "technique" to avoid adding any waves ... either slightly turning the hair under at the ends or flipping them out for a bit of a stylish, layered look. ;)

A more permanent option is to get one of those reverse perms. I'm sure there's a more official name (LOL), but my sister-in-law is a stylist and does them all the time. In fact, she did her own recently (same hair type), and it looks great! Of course, that's only if you want to keep it on the straighter side for the next few weeks/months (depending on how long your hair might hold the perm). It's really nice, though. Extra smooth and shiny, with no fly-aways or frizzies. I'd have her do mine if I wasn't pregnant. LOL Maybe in a few months ... ;)

Forgot to mention ... the round brush mentioned above dries my (very-long, very-thick!) hair from shower to straight in about 15 minutes.

What type of hair product should i use to prevent dame from straightening?

i have black hair keep that in mind

What type of hair product should i use to prevent dame from straightening?

HOT OIL hair treatment?

can anyone please tell me what it does to your hair exactly? and who else has gotten it? what do you think of the results? is it ok to hot oil after a different hair treament like relaxing, rebinding, or regular hair straightening?

HOT OIL hair treatment?

Don't do anything directly after a chemical treatment. Hot oil just coats your hair until the next time you wash it. I used to use it, until I found better products and that it really doesn't do much for the long haul. It's better to go into a salon and ask what they use for deep heating treatments. If it is top of the line products such as Paul Mitchell, Matrix. Joico, Aveda and they put you under heat for 20 - 30 minutes, that's what you want. Do it monthly.

HOT OIL hair treatment?

well it adds oils 2 ur hair that hair treatments take out i would also try some proteins. u always hear eggs beer or mayo. these all can work see protein is gr8 4 the hair. also try rain water will really soften ur hair

HOT OIL hair treatment?

Natural and homely Head massages with oil.

Hot oil massage: Warm 2 tsp. of olive oil and 2 tsp. coconut oil and gently massage every part of the scalp for 10-15 minutes. Rinse a towel in hot water, wipe and ..... read more ......

HOT OIL hair treatment?

Hot oil is a conditioner not a process so you can do it after any chemical process. It makes your hair softer and shinier. If you use the right oil you can prevent dandruff. I recommend olive oil mixed with shea butter or jojoba oil.

Dry, damaged, straightened hair...Any idea's???

My hair is very frizzy, so I have to straighten it. But I can't afford the new way they straighten at the salons. Its still frizzy after I use my hot iron. Any good straightening products?

Its also very damaged from all the stress on it. Any good products to help make it straighter and healthier?

Its breaking off alot now.

Thanks in advance.

Dry, damaged, straightened hair...Any idea's???

First off, you really need a good shampoo and conditioner. Try the Theratin shampoo and Humectin conditioner from Phyto Organics by Nexxus. Now you need a good leav-in, try the Instracure from Matrix Essentials which will help detangle your hair and feel smooth and healthy. After that straighten your hair with a CHI iron, available at most salons, then after straightening, use Silk Infusion oil from CHI which will leave your hair shiny and frizz free. To finish off, since it's rainy season, find a good humidty resistant hairspray, my fav is the BigSexyHair hairspray or Performa from Matrix Essentials.

PS: You need to get a trim to cut off the dead ends.

Dry, damaged, straightened hair...Any idea's???

cut it all off. then straighten it BUT use a protectant product like silicone or aveda hang straight before you flat iron it.

Dry, damaged, straightened hair...Any idea's???

I use this cheap stuff called SunSilk De Frizz its in a green bottle and it works wonders for me I have the same problems but DONT DYE YOUR HAIR that kills it

I straighten mine with a fat curling iron instead of a straightner it works alot better for me

Dry, damaged, straightened hair...Any idea's???

trim about an inch of it off, then get the new PANTENE conditioner, leave it in for one night, then take a shower in the morning. Also try putting lemon juice in your hair for a night, it shows the hair color more. Try these...hope they help! :)

Dry, damaged, straightened hair...Any idea's???

i use jizzit. You can pick up at walmart, or walgreens. What settings do you have your hot iron? Make sure it is on low. If you cant afford jizzit, use rubbing alcohol. Make sure you hot iron setting is on high. After your hair drys out, apply aloe vera lotion. Let it set for 48 hours. After 48 hours apply, A+D ointment. If you dont have A+D ointment use Flaming Pete hot sauce...

Dry, damaged, straightened hair...Any idea's???

Get yourself a good deep conditioning treatment at a salon.

Dry, damaged, straightened hair...Any idea's???

I's best that you stop using straightening iron until you get you hair treated. Control the frizz by using products designed for that not adding to the damage by using straighteners. What's the point of having straight but fried singed hair as compared to soft shiny waves.

Dry, damaged, straightened hair...Any idea's???

A fabulous hair (without outside styling help) is an indicator of good health. Give your locks the proper nutrition by chowing down food rich in protein and vitamin B. Try eating beans, nuts, bananas and oatmeals. These help make hair shiny, long and strong. Follow this steps and you'll see your hair shine!

Dry, damaged, straightened hair...Any idea's???

firstly buy a conditoning treatment fructis 1 min mask is really good use this say twice a week on your hair.

contioning treatments are essential this are the only condtioners that go inside the hair and repair this were as normal condtioners just smooth the outside.

secondly sounds like the straighters you have got are not to good try ghd or remmingtons which are brilliant. The hotter the straighters the smoother and straighter you hair will be.

make sure you use shine spray before using straightners and use a comp the hair while straighting it which will smooth the hair and allow the straightens to do the work

hope this helps good luck x

Dry, damaged, straightened hair...Any idea's???

I would say first of all, stop using your straighting iron. You are just ruining your hair. Then I would invenst in the hair mask products. Two good ones are : Aussie 3 Minute Mircale and Neutrogena Hair Mask. The best way to use the products is shampoo youre hair when you first get in the shower and then put the mask in, and let the heat sink into the hair. It really does work I swear.

Make sure you also invest in shampoo and condintenor that are for dry and damanged hair. Also might as well get a couple of inches cut off. That will definlay help.

Then later on, invest in a straightner that doesnt get SUPER hot bc that damages youre hair more. Some get 800 degrees thats too hott and you are just ruining youre hair.

And when you straighten youre hair make sure you put a heat protection on it. Example Loreal makes a great on in a pink bottle I cant exalty remember the name. And always rinse in cold water, makes hair shiner!!

Just keep this up for a month and use the hair mask 2 or 3 times a week and make

Dry, damaged, straightened hair...Any idea's???

Thanks for asking me to answer! Damage = get a trim. If it is only a little damage, get all of the damage cut off, if it is a lot you can either get it all cut off at once or get a trim as it grows until the damage is gone. Cholesterol is a great hair strengthener. Use it after you shampoo about once a week. You can use a shampoo and conditioner on a daily or bi-daily basis that is made or curly or frizzy hair. Sunsilk and Frizz Ease are wonderful choices and they are both sold at Walmart. You should also use a daily leave-in conditioner before you blow dry and a heat protector before you use your hot iron. Make sure that you don't have your flat iron on too if you don not need it to be. If yo have fly-aways you can use a smoothing serumor an oil sheen. You can never use too much conditioner. Also, stay hydrated. I hope this helps!

I want my Extremely curly hair straight, should i get it thermally or chemically straightened? hair

Well my hair is extremely curly, and I want to get it thermally straightened or chemically straightened. And from what i have read chemically isnt good for my hair, and it breaks off. Would thermally work better? I would like to here from a real hair stylist on this question, but who ever knows can answer.

I want my Extremely curly hair straight, should i get it thermally or chemically straightened? hair damage?

you are going to be beating up your hair both ways. heat damages your hair, as does chemicals. especially with long term use.

I want my Extremely curly hair straight, should i get it thermally or chemically straightened? hair damage?

You could talk to your beaution about it and try a hair straightner.

I want my Extremely curly hair straight, should i get it thermally or chemically straightened? hair damage?

thermaly is way better becasue ull be able to make ur curly hair str8 when u want to with out much trouble and ur curly hair curly wit out the frizzies....CHEMICALLY is a big NONO

I want my Extremely curly hair straight, should i get it thermally or chemically straightened? hair damage?

um bythermally what do you mean?

do you mean that youre going to start straightening it with a straightening iron? if so i would reccomend an ION straightener or a CHI straightener. and in my opinion the ion works better and is cheaper at 90 dollars than the chi at 150 dollars.

Heyyyy lol, I know i've been asking alot of hair questions... buttt.. I'm sorta nervous about this... lol... I think I may have to go to a salon to get my hair straightened.... but I'm nervous of what the people will say lol.. anddd... how my hair would come out in the end... lol. Any help... sorta...

HELP! Should I go to a salon to get my hair straightened?

HELP! Should I go to a salon to get my hair straightened?

i think you should go to a salon because they use good and the best expensive products on your hair

good luck =]

ive gotten my hair done at salons a grip of times

***always use ceramic irons they wont damage and burn your hair as much as the others***

HELP! Should I go to a salon to get my hair straightened?

Do what you like more and what makes you feel better.Generally straight hair look nice on a long, thin face.

HELP! Should I go to a salon to get my hair straightened?

Hey that is what the beauticians are there for. Don't be embarrassed! I would call first and tell them what you want and make sure that someone will do you hair that would be good at it!

HELP! Should I go to a salon to get my hair straightened?

They are professionals and know what they are doing...if you can't straighten it at home then that's the best place to do it.

HELP! Should I go to a salon to get my hair straightened?

OK.........Do the straightening first then you have the option to 'chop it off'....see if you like it first....

HELP! Should I go to a salon to get my hair straightened?

Yeah go for it, you can get a relaxer put in it so it is permanently straightened untill it grows out. It works really well Ive had it done before and I had straight hair for about 5 months. But make sure you have them give you a deep conditioning treatment afterward cuz it can damage your hair a little.

HELP! Should I go to a salon to get my hair straightened?

well it would be easier to

ask the professional that's about to do your hair..

adn if you get it straighten i hope your getting it braided

HELP! Should I go to a salon to get my hair straightened?

My suggestion, DO NOT CHEMICALLY STRAIGHTEN YOUR HAIR!!!! It will fry it, be extremely brittle and break off easy. I have naturally curly hair so I know how it is to straighten it daily but in the long run it's much better for your hair.

HELP! Should I go to a salon to get my hair straightened?

you should get a relaxer at a salon. They won't say anything bad. They should be very professional...if they aren't you have every right to leave before they even start. At least go get a consultation. Most salons offer them for free, then you can find out the answers to all ur questions. They will know what kind of relaxer is best for your hair and they can tell you how to maintain it. good luck

HELP! Should I go to a salon to get my hair straightened?

hm....if you want pin strait har i would suggust a chi straightener...then you can straighten your hair whenever you want.

I have brown shoulder length hair that I don't know how to style, straightening is getting old.

definatly try scrunching it!

just incase you don't know what that is...although you probably do...

when you're hair is damp. take hair moose and gel and scrunch your hair in your hands all through you hair. it makes it very curly. or...if you want more difined curls... you can put curling moose in your hair. then let it air dry, and take a curling iorn and curl different pieces of your hair!

any way i'm sure it will look great. and if you want. you can always just pull your hair up into a ponytail, and put a cute headband in it!

hope that helped!!!

best answer ;]

I have brown shoulder length hair that I don't know how to style, straightening is getting old. What can i do?

I have brown shoulder length hair that I don't know how to style, straightening is getting old. What can i do?

soft messy waves...im fed up of straight aswell it is getting boring! ive been using the wavy-messy for a while

I have brown shoulder length hair that I don't know how to style, straightening is getting old. What can i do?

depends on how curley your natural hair is, but going natural is always an option. hard curl or "surf " gels are fun too.

I have brown shoulder length hair that I don't know how to style, straightening is getting old. What can i do?

I would scrunch your hair to give it a beachy wave effect. After a shower take a small towel and push and grab at your hair until it is dry. It may take a while but it will look really cute!

I have brown shoulder length hair that I don't know how to style, straightening is getting old. What can i do?

If any thing you do..DO NOT cut it..(But it's up to you)

I had the same prob as you,and I cut my hair..now im longing for my locks again!!

I have brown shoulder length hair that I don't know how to style, straightening is getting old. What can i do?

Go opposite and curl the heck out of it!

or try spirals.. I have the asme hair as you.

I got this 1/2 inch curling iron that does little spirals and its adorable.

Try a fauz hawk pony-tail.. those are easy and cute.

You can do virtually anything.

headbands are cute.

just pinning the front sections back.

get creative :]

you can look in magazines to get ideas also.

I have brown shoulder length hair that I don't know how to style, straightening is getting old. What can i do?

i think you should get a very loose perm. that what i ended up doing cuz i was getting sick of my hair being so stright

I have brown shoulder length hair that I don't know how to style, straightening is getting old. What can i do?

Get it layered, feathered and put in a side fringe

I have brown shoulder length hair that I don't know how to style, straightening is getting old. What can i do?

I like to blow dry it and style it where its flipping out. Or curling it is always cute.

And you can always put it up in a cute way, that never goes out of style! (:

I have brown shoulder length hair that I don't know how to style, straightening is getting old. What can i do?

OMGSH same here!!

I have layered honeyblonde hair and im tried of straiting it so im getting in a loose curl stage..lol

I have brown shoulder length hair that I don't know how to style, straightening is getting old. What can i do?

I layered mine. I got a few high cuts and then a bunch of lower ones, giving it an edgy look. I also dyed it dirty blonde.

Hi , is there a way i can get my hair straightened for at least 6 months ?

hey ...i recently got my hair chemically treated and straightened ...but it lasted for only a month ....is there a way by which i can get it straightened to last for at least 6 or 7 months ? i have curly frizzy hair ...so will need a strong treatment

Hi , is there a way i can get my hair straightened for at least 6 months ?

you can try Japanese Hair Straightening.. its will last about 6 months but you need to get touch ups to the roots of your hair because if you hair is very curly the new growth will be curly... it is a costly process

Hi , is there a way i can get my hair straightened for at least 6 months ?

a home perm treatment will work great you just have to comb it for the length of time you are suppose to roll it. They work wonders trust me. I had bad curls in mine and mine is straight as a bored has been for a long time.

Hi , is there a way i can get my hair straightened for at least 6 months ?

Yes, you can get it japanese straightened which lasts for a while, or you can buy a daily hair straightner ( they work really well ;) They sell really good hair straightners at Target, the one that works for me best is Wet to Straight. Good luck =]

Hi , is there a way i can get my hair straightened for at least 6 months ?

get it japanese straightened. its really expensive though, but for me i think its worth it :)

ps. usually lasts 6 months to 2 years. depends on thickness of hair.

Hi , is there a way i can get my hair straightened for at least 6 months ?

That's weird....because when you get your hair permanently straitened, it is suppose to stay for atleast 6 month, regardless of how your hair is.

Try to find a better salon.

Hi , is there a way i can get my hair straightened for at least 6 months ?

well honestly dont get it done because sometimes you might be in the curly mood so get a straightner at sallys beauty supply they work awesome mine was about 85 bucks and i got a free purse, if you can find the chi, BUY IT, thats the best one. but mine is called ION and its amazing, i have long thick curly hair, and it makes me so happy with the end results!

Is it safe to get your hair straightened twice in a month?

I got my hair straightened yesterday.

They have become straight however, to reduce the frizz i would want to get the same treatment done once again.

DO you think it would be a safe idea to do so? Please advise..

has anyone ever done this before.

Is it safe to get your hair straightened twice in a month?

I was told that you have to wait for at least 8-12 weeks. Have your hair "relaxed", it may have a more lasting effect than just straightening it.

Is it safe to get your hair straightened twice in a month?

nope, not at all.the chemicals used for that harms your hair beyond repair honey.Learn to love whteva the way u look,ok.

Is it safe to get your hair straightened twice in a month?

no. your hair will dry. seriously i had try doing that

Is it safe to get your hair straightened twice in a month?

well I'm black so i pretty much have to straighten it almost every day. my hair does frizz thas only if it gets wet. i try not to straighten it every day because the heat can damage my hair. i usually have it on a low heat. plus i buy hair lotion that protects my hair from the heat and keeps it healthy.

My hair is usually wavy. But I want to get it straightened and put a band around it like the soccer

Will my hair be as straight like Tawny Cypress off of heroes if I had it straightened?

Im mixed raced (black cab/white) but have afro type hair but is abit looser in places, I want to have my hair straightened and my friend told me that it would be like Tawny Cypress, but her own hair is much looser than mine. Please help as I unsure what to do with my hair.

Will my hair be as straight like Tawny Cypress off of heroes if I had it straightened?

Using a relaxer will make your hair straighter, but you may need to use a flat iron after the relaxer to style it straight. It works very good.

Will my hair be as straight like Tawny Cypress off of heroes if I had it straightened?

no it will not look like Tawny Cypress. Not to be nasty but when you look at a pic and wanting your hair to be like that there is so many factors to be considered.

He has all the money to do what ever with his hair.

And you will not look like him even if you do your hair like that

And we do not have a pic of you to know if it would look the same so sorry but no you cant ask a question like that.

How can I japanese hair straighten?

I have black thick(asian) hair even though I'm European, I use hair-iron, not cloth. After washing hair I iron it, it's perftecly straight(my natural hair is nearly perfetct-straight) but after I iron and I put on wax it curls a little and really %%26amp;*% off! What should I put on my hair? And should I do it before ironing or after?

Thanks

How can I japanese hair straighten?

Japanese hair straightening is a very long drawn out process. It takes 13 steps to chemicallly japanese straighten hair. If your hair is already straight why put chemical on it? Japanese hair straightening is for extreme curl to slightly curly. hair. Even then it's not gauranteed to be poker straight. This service is not to replace a flat iron. It's made to help straighten hair much easier. Sometimes when the hair is REALLY curly and chemically straightened it still ends up being a little curly if you let it dry naturally. I wouldn't put wax on your hair if you want it silky smooth straight. Try a silicone based product. Like a serum you can put on wet %26amp; dry.

How can I japanese hair straighten?

If you're asking about this Japanese straightening thingy, go visit a salon, some of them may have this Japanese rebonding that straightens your hair permanently (until it grows out that is)

If it's the wax, iron thingy, I suggest you try putting wax on a small part of your hair and iron it. See if it works. I haven't tried it, so better if you test on a small patch (er.. hair/s)

How can I japanese hair straighten?

you need to get a wax that isnt water based, that is more than likely what is causeing your hair to curl. For Japanese hair straighting i would suggest going to a good hair shop, but it is very expensive and you cant do it on colored hair.

How should I do my straightened hair?

It was straightened yesterday and now i dont know what to do with it!? I just need hair that will look not like i did it for 2 hours, i've done that before i mean hair like i dunno!? I'm going to Alcatraz and i dunno if i should wear it like...

How should I do my straightened hair?

Put a pompador at the top. That would look cute.

How should I do my straightened hair?

Straightened Hair is beautiful if you just leave it down with it either in a half/ponytail or my favorite, put a hairband in it

How should I do my straightened hair?

You should put it in a clip or a cute bun. Just do an updew!!!

How should I do my straightened hair?

straightened hair is very nice lefted dwn i always leave mine down but if it gets in my way i put it up in a clip with my fringe (bangs) dwn!! its very easy and looks nice!!

How should I do my straightened hair?

Just use a pin to hold it up. Will look good and stay long.

How should I do my straightened hair?

i think that you should just put a little clip in t or re-straighten it to make it look more straight. im only 11 so i hope this helped!

How should I do my straightened hair?

Straightened hair is beautiful in a number of different styles. The most modern way is to simply wear your hair down and pull your part slightly to one side. Do you have bangs? Straight across bangs look best with a middle part down or simple ponytail up. Sideswept bangs look best with an off-center part or high updo. You'll look fantastic either way, I LOVE super-straight hair. Just make sure to use a shine enhancing product like Garnier Sleek and Shine (only use a tiny bit and comb through, preferably damp hair), and the next time you wash your hair use a split-end deterring leave-in like Redken Anti-Snap, because straightening hair can be very damaging and encourage split ends. Enjoy!

Which is healthier, to blow dry your hair or to use the straightening iron?

IT'S MUCH MUCH Better 2 "Blow Dry" Your hair under a LOW LOW Heat ! !

Which is healthier, to blow dry your hair or to use the straightening iron?

healthier to blow dry

easier to use staightning iron

Which is healthier, to blow dry your hair or to use the straightening iron?

I imagine that blow drying your hair is healthier because you aren't putting direct heat on both sides of each each strand of hair. Also, straightening irons can put a higher degree of heat on your hair.

How do I stop my straightened hair from getting creases?

I straighten my hair at night because I don't have time in the morning, but when I wake up in the morning it has dents in it. and no I don't tie it up with a scrunichie or a clip, I usually twist it and wrap it with a silkish fabric.....but it's still dented when I wake up. I don't want to re-straighten in the morning because I don't have time and I don't want to damage it too much....what to do????

How do I stop my straightened hair from getting creases?

That used to happen to me,

I have MEGA curly hair,

I used to put my hair up at night and wake up in the morning with a huge ponytail line..not attractive..lol

I got a new ceramic, hair straightener, and didnt do anything to my hair, just straighten it, leave it down and went to bed..and presto! no bumps at all in the morning!! There were a few when the weather was really warm, then i just quickly went over them with the straightener....but for the most part...no creases!

so try not wrapping it up at all, you get hot at night and the material is trapping the heat which makes your hair crease and frizz.

How do I stop my straightened hair from getting creases?

ask a hair stylist.

How do I stop my straightened hair from getting creases?

Do NOT wrap it in fabric or anything....doing so will cause creases, even the lightest fabrics and ties can. Just wear it down to bed.....just know that sleeping with it down could POSSIBLY cause it to kink slightly, but not very much......As soon as you wake up, turn on your straightener. Do everything else (morning routine - eating breakfast, dressing, makeup, etc.) while your straightener is heating....put a little bit of serum or hot iron serum in your hair and straighten out the kinks just before you leave. It won't take very long.....this always works for me, and if my hair kinks again, i put it up later on. Best of luck, and happy styling!

How do I stop my straightened hair from getting creases?

i actually use a scrunchie lol...as lame as that sounds, and the one i use it silkish and loose...i usually wake up with it laying in my bed, but, when i put it in my hair, i never seem to get dents or creases in my hair...

i hope i helped :)

What are the after-care for hair that has gone thru' permanant chemical straightening?

Like, bonding, for example.

Would you recommend it for someone with thin, coarse and curly hair with a roundish face?

I'm also petite, so will straight make me appear slimmer and taller?

What are the after-care for hair that has gone thru' permanant chemical straightening?

hair conditioner %26amp; hair reborn

What are the after-care for hair that has gone thru' permanant chemical straightening?

dont straighten your hair for a while with a straighteningn iron...umm make sure to keep you hair mositruized because its very damaged and just be careful...also dont relly brish your hair for like 24 hours and you should wear a doo rag so your hair doesnt brake off

What are the after-care for hair that has gone thru' permanant chemical straightening?

I have seen people do a cholesterol soak.(its just a jar of cholesterol you buy from the beauty store, and smather it on and let it sit)

Sometimes if I over straighten, I will modulate it a little with Aussie 3 Minute Miracle Reconstructor Deep Conditioning. This seems to be the only conditioner that gives back a little body and health without undo-ing the straightening.

Has any heard of the Japanese hair straighteners?

Are they worth the money? Or I am looking for a hair straightening kit that works without damaging your hair? What will straighten my hair for several months at a time? I am a full time student and mother so money is tight. Please give any pre and post care advise you know. Thanks

Has any heard of the Japanese hair straighteners?

go here i hope it helps( http://images.google.com/imgres?imgurl=h... just copy and paste trust me oh ya and dont forget to watch the vedio

Has any heard of the Japanese hair straighteners?

Yes. I got this "Japanese Hair Straitening" thing done at a salon, it was expensive but my hair stayed straight for a long time. I would recommend it. You need to blow dry your hair for atleat 5 minutes every day when you get out of the shower so that your hair stays straight and doesn't start to curl or anything.

Has any heard of the Japanese hair straighteners?

yes i have heard of the japanese hair straightners, infact my sister got one but the only thing is you cant really do anything to your hair beacause it will make your hair straight like the japanese. the straightner/relaxer costs:about a good $500.

Where can I get my hair straightened in SF?

What's a place in San Francisco that you can get your hair straightened professionally but still have a good price?

Where can I get my hair straightened in SF?

buy a straightning iron at target. Costs less.

Where can I get my hair straightened in SF?

You really don't need to go to a professional, there are cheap flat irons(straightening iron) in Wal-Mart. Plus, the straightings from a professional would come out the next day, if your a cleany person and wash your hair every day, it would go back to curly, and you wont have to waste 100$ even if you are rich.

Where can I get my hair straightened in SF?

a hair dresser.... any one

Where can I get my hair straightened in SF?

There is some place that does what's called "Japanese Hair Straightening". I don't know specifically where it is in San Francisco. I just know they have a place like that. I read it. 'K?

Where can I get my hair straightened in SF?

When I lived in San Francisco I went to Hair Play on Church Street. It's a fun atmosphere and they do a good job with cuts and color.. The website says a new relax is $100+ (probably depending on the length of hair).. I am not sure if that is too pricey or not. Good luck!

How can i make my hair style more fashionable?

how can i make my hair style more fabulous? my hair is like curly hair....but my classmates doesn't like the hairstyle..my hairstyle is like .........i braid it all over....i don't know what tto do with my hair.....do i have to go to salon just to have hair straightening? or what?

How can i make my hair style more fashionable?

U can do lot with ur curly hair apart from straightening them.

simply open them or use pins, pony tails look really nice or go for a haircut--make them short or layers will look good.

How can i make my hair style more fashionable?

Pony tails?

How can i make my hair style more fashionable?

Oohhhh I would love to have curly hair!! (I have super straight hair) U can try pinning a few strands back, kind of like a ''half-moon'' style. Or u can wear a nice colourful cloth headband. Im sure that'd look nice! :)

How can i make my hair style more fashionable?

Don't be ashamed that you have curly hair! And definitely don't go to that last resort of straightening your hair and losing those curls!

Curls are amazing! Use mousse or a gel that will define your curls a lot more. I go from curly to straight all the time, I have crazy layers and they look really cool when my hair is curly!

You should also try sticking in some accessories! Headbands are great and so are cute shiny/jewely pins!

How can i make my hair style more fashionable?

Big colourful headbands are very fashionable, and they look great with curly hair!

How can i make my hair style more fashionable?

No Offence, but forget your classmates. Would you feel better about your hair if they said they loved it? I think maybe so.

I have wavy/curly hair and i love it. I smile when i see the girls with straight hair, trying to curl it with a curling iron or rollers. We have the advanage here :)

I also love braids and plaits because they look fresh and keep your hair off your face and out of your eyes.

However, if you are sincere about trying something new, start small. One way is to add subtle highlights. A hairdresser can help you with the best colour/s for your natural hair colour, and one that suit your complexion and even eyecolour.

Apart from that, you could always cut a few inches off. OMG i might hear you say lol. A little bit off the ends can instantly make your hair look cleaner and healthier. A new cut also makes you feel fantastic and revitalised.

HINT: Try to pin your hair under itself to see what you might look like with shorter hair and what length you might be happy with. A hairdresser can also help with length and cut. You mihgt like to try a fringe, if you don't have one? If you're not sure, go for a longer fringe that can be pinned back or added to your braid.

Remember, it is YOUR hair! Only do what you want and not what other's tell you to do. You will have to live with whatever you decide to do, so think carefully.

Try to have fun with it also. Changing your hairstyle is a quick and easy way to give yourself a lift and new confidence.

I found some great sites for curly hair of all lengths, cuts and colours. (Although some links might look similar, they are from different pages). Do a bit of research to see what you REALLY want to do. This way there won't be any regrets.

Have fun :)

How can i make my hair style more fashionable?

well you shouldnt worry about what other think

but if you want good results for straight hair

buy a GOOD hair straignter like a paul brown, GHD, expenisve but they work and keep curly hair straight, without making it look half done. use heat protective lotions on your hair before so your hair doesnt dry out/ burn. long hair looks great straighten( but so does long curly hair) it works better if your hair is styled to suit your face shape, blowdry your hair first then straighten it in small sections. use a treament on your hair once in a while so your hair doesnt look un healhty etc.

my hair is naturally curly too, i hate it but i think everyone hates hair they dont have, but my hair always looks good when straightens and shaped around my face, although my hairs blonde so i use more treatments because blonde hair if left untreated breaks and looks dead more easily then brunettes

:) hoped that helped

What is diff. b/w straightening and rebonding of hairs?

i hav long hairs so im little bit confused abt what should i make out for my hairs straightening or reonding?which is better and wats the diff.?

What is diff. b/w straightening and rebonding of hairs?

Hair can be straightened using many methods. Rebonding's one of them.

What is diff. b/w straightening and rebonding of hairs?

both methods are used to have straight hair

straightening lasts up to a couple of days b4 your hair goes back to its natural form while rebonding lasts around 6 months( it varies, depends on the type of rebonding and the condition of your hair blablabla...)

My hair... i don't know what to do!?

I don't get stressed to easy, but i am always so worried about getting ready for the day in time!! I LOVE traveling, and going on road trips, sleepovers, and such but i am hesitant to do it because i am afraid after i wake from sleeping and it is time for me to get ready i never ever have enough time! I always seem to be making people wait! and i hate that, its not only so rude, its so frustrating too, and it makes me anxious!!

The other day i calculated the time it took me to fully get ready, from showering... makeup... to hair.... and it took me almost exactly 1hour and 15minutes! and i think that is alittle to much! hmm... i just would like to know what i can do to get over this anxiety! how to speed up the process... i actually looked into Japanese Hair Straightening just so i wouldn't have to take so long to stragiton my hair, but its to much for somthing NOT permanent!

Ah... sorry this is so long! PLEASE HELP!

My hair... i don't know what to do!?

lol girl... i take that long to get ready too.. dont feel bad... alot of girls do..

I make my man wait on me.. **** it..

just try to be the first one in the shower and then you can get started first... or sometimes if im in a hurry i just put styling product in my hair and hairspray and crimp it and make it so it is curlyish....

but just dont worry... im 21 and ive been taking that long to get ready since i can remember, and im pretty... just because you take long doesnt mean you're desperately ugly.. it just means you care about your appearance.. nothing wrong with that.

My hair... i don't know what to do!?

u can shorten the time when u have bad hair day by tying ur hair into a pony tail or bun or by wearing a hat or cap.

Or u can wash ur hair at night, make a tight bun while ur hair is still damp and open it in the morning. separate ur hair with ur fingers and spray it. u'll get nice natural curls.

My hair... i don't know what to do!?

I used to be the same way. I found that curly hair was the easiest to take care of. just wash it, pick it, scrunch it, and go.

My hair... i don't know what to do!?

You should take a shower at night. Then after your hair is dry, straighten it so in the morning you only have to tough it up.

My hair... i don't know what to do!?

girl, you have to calm down. cheezge.well,

shower at night instead oif in the morning.

for showering, ue a body bar instead of body wash and a 2 in 1 shampoo.

for hair, since your hair will already dry, you just have to style you hair as usual. try more simpler styles such as buns, ponytails, pigtail, and half up half down dos.

for makeup. try to go without makeup for a while. just wash your face and you wont need concelar, foundation, blush. just apply eyeshadow and lipgloss.

you are good to go!

My hair... i don't know what to do!?

Try getting the 2 in 1 shampoo and conditioner the will make sowers shorter. Cut down on the make up and do a simply pony tail for your hair. Trust me it works!

My hair... i don't know what to do!?

If you are really trying to cut back on your time, you could do something easier then styling your hair every morning. Especially at camp. I don't think your hair needs to be really cute at camp. For camp days, you could just put your hair in a ponytail. Oh, and if you don't want to be still getting ready so late in the morning, get up earlier. Another time saver is to know what you are going to do the day before. Just relax and don't freak. You'll have time.

My hair... i don't know what to do!?

you can get wet 2 straight if you dont have it so you can straighten your hair wet, take a little less time in the shower, and use make up thats easier to use and put on. i had to do it for school because it took me an hour and a half and now it takes me an hour so i shortened the time by a lot. good luck!!!

My hair... i don't know what to do!?

do a consultation with a hairstylist- one that has experience with curly hair. See what she advises.

How can i get my hair sleek and smooth after blowbrying and straightening?

I use John Frieda Sheer Blonde shampoo and conditioner and once in a while use the stay in conditioner. I use either sheer blonde moose or a no frizz moose and then tresemme heat protection and blow dry my hair but still goes frizzy and doesn't stay in place wen i go out. I sometimes use the serum to keep the frizz down or hairspray to keep it in place but doesn't seem to work. I do use straighteners (good ones) but still doesn't seem to be luck. Any ideas? Thanks

How do i keep my newly straightened hair straight when i go to sleep?

Well Sorry To Say It, But ...

You're Gonna Have to MAKE Time In The Morning To Straighten Your Hair. If You Care A Lot About The Way You Look, Then You're Gonna Have To Do It In The Morning, Too.

I May Be A Guy But I Have To Straighten My Hair Once At Night And Once In The Morning.

=P

How do i keep my newly straightened hair straight when i go to sleep?

i doubt thats possible to keep it straight while laying down all night.

but you could try putting bands around you head.

it might make your hair look flat though.

How do i keep my newly straightened hair straight when i go to sleep?

What I do is straighten my hair really well at night, then touch it up in the morning. I also try to keep my hair flat when I fall asleep so it'll hopefully be straighter in the morning. Hope I helped!

How do i keep my newly straightened hair straight when i go to sleep?

How do i keep my newly straightened hair straight when i go to sleep?

i think it's impossible to keep your hair straight through the night. unless you sleep on your belly or something.

but umm i think you could maybe put your hair in a ponytail

to keep the top straight, but then you would get a bump in

your hair.

i would just suggest to get up earlier and straighten

it then, it doesn't take that long.

hope i helped :]

How do i keep my newly straightened hair straight when i go to sleep?

learn how to do a dubi every night. it is the best. when you take the pins out, you just need to com it. i relaxed my hair avery 2 months, and wash it once a week. so i know it will work for you.

How do i keep my newly straightened hair straight when i go to sleep?

Wrap it like a Black girl

How do i keep my newly straightened hair straight when i go to sleep?

What i do is straighten it REALLY well in the night then in the morning i straighten in really fast and its perfectly straight! If that doesnt work wake up a bit earlyer!

How do i keep my newly straightened hair straight when i go to sleep?

wrap your hair at night and put on a silk scarf so when you sweat it wont frizz up and then in the morning just comb it down and it should be still straight but make sure you wrap your hair right to where its flat when you ti ea scarf on it

How do you style the curly almost kinky hair?

I have natural curly hair. Well you can say it is not even curly.....it is kinky.. I can't even wear a ponytail with it. I can just wear it in a bun or as a plait. I have shoulder length hair and it doesn't even grow longer than that.

What should I do....I tried Japanese hair straightening...I lost lots of hair due to it and I don't want to try any straightening methods anymore.

How do you style the curly almost kinky hair?

this is how I do my hair, mine is the same as yours and this works. Get some shampoo, conditioner, mousse and hairspray for curly hair. After washing your hair, comb your hair through to get rid of knots, then tip your head upside down so the hair hangs down in front of your face, now scrunch it all over really tightly with your hands. Now, wrap it in a towel for about 10 minutes to absorb any extra wetness. Take the towel off and leave your hair to dry naturally, keep scrunching it all over with your hands every now and again til it is almost dry. Then apply a golf ball size amount of mousse, scrunch it evenly through your hair. The dry your hair with a diffuser, tip your head upside down and keep scrunching it while you dry, flick your head from side to side every so often while doing this, it will not take long to dry. While your head is still upside down, spray it with a light mist of hair spray, then flick your head upright again. It will look a bit bushy to start but does settle after 5 minutes or so. I hope that helps you, the best advice is get products for your hair type. Try Umberto Giannini, they smell great.

HALF UP AND HALF DOWN TRY A STAIGTNER GET A CHI THEY DO NE THING

How do you style the curly almost kinky hair?

try really big rollers - don't put stuff in it

How do you style the curly almost kinky hair?

braid/twist outs. Don't comb it while it's dry, only when it's wet with conditioner. deep treatments will help to make it more pliable and agreeable when it comes to styling. Flat twists, (bantu) knot outs...Braid the hair while it's wet (after washing, apply leave in conditioner/moisturuzer), let it air dry or sit under dryer, unravel and finger comb. Should be more manageable. Depending on how wild you sleep it should last for a week or so.

Best way to get hair straightened?

How can you straightened with out harming your hair?

Best way to get hair straightened?

Just use a flat iron.

Best way to get hair straightened?

its worth it

i suggest the "chi"

i love it!

Best way to get hair straightened?

yeah

That is my question tooo

Best way to get hair straightened?

Use a CHI straightener i have 2!

Best way to get hair straightened?

I don't think there is a way. Applying any kind of chemical or using any heated device will cause harm to your hair.

Best way to get hair straightened?

I don't like to stress my hair out with all of those irons and chemical creams so I use the "Detour Pro Iron straightening brush." It works wonders on my hair, and as a bonus it's pretty cheap!

You can check one out here...

http://hairthoughts.com/item22.htm

hope you like it, good luck with the hair!

Best way to get hair straightened?

No such thing. Yeah CHI works because the heat is higher than usual so it seems that it works quick and makes your hair soft. But eventually your hair will burn. I mean even shampooing damages your hair. If you want straight hair that much permant is the way to go because the damage happens once. Not like everyday with a straightener

Best way to get hair straightened?

You will harm your hair if you straighten it, period. There are products you can buy from the drugstore or beauty product store to use in addition to a flat iron that are supposed to aid in protecting your hair. That's really the best you can do.

Best way to get hair straightened with out going out your front door?

How can you straighten with out harming your hair?

Best way to get hair straightened with out going out your front door?

You will harm it because you're using so much heat but it helps to use a leave-in spray that protects your hair from all the heat. Use it after you shower, before blow drying and straightening. It helps a whole lot and you can find it at any Walgreens or CVS.

Best way to get hair straightened with out going out your front door?

just use a flat iron. make sure you use finishing cream afterwards. they sell it at target, etc. it's to make sure that your hair stays like that. just use moisturizing shampoo and you'll be fine.

Best way to get hair straightened with out going out your front door?

get a flat iron. ceramic ones work the best because they heat up a lot faster and keep the heat longer. so, here's some tips on how to straighten your hair:

1. shampoo/condition your hair thoroughly

2. blot dry your hair. it should be mostly dry when you start straightening.

3. apply a defrizzer to your hair before you start. Garnier Smoothing Milk works well.

4. the section of hair you're straightening at any time should not be larger than the width of your straightener. if your flat iron is 1" wide, you should divide your hair into 1" sections.

5. once your hair is straight, apply the defrizzer once again, but only a minimal amount.

hope this helps!
