I'm 13 years old, my hair is curly, but i want it to be straight what am i gonna do? please help,,, thanks

hi....whatever u do, dont use any chemicals. if you're straightening, use a ceramic one....its better that you dont do things that will damage ur hair to make it straight.

these are some remedies which i found... i dont know whether they work but you could try any of them they are not harmful..

1)Wash and dry your hair as normal. This is an optional tip but is popular in naturally straightening hair: before shampooing, spray your hair with about 1/3rd cup of milk. This keeps your hair straight and silky.

2)heard that pouring Coconutmilk on hair %26amp; rinsing hair after sometime makes it straight...

hope this helps!~

P.S - dont use chemicals!!!!

What's the best hair product for flat iron straightening?

I'm going to walmart what's the best produc to use with my corioliss straightener. I have Shoulder length curls that tend to be on the dry side towards the bottom.

What's the best hair product for flat iron straightening?

Try a leave in conditioner from Sunsilk for dry hair, it should do the trick and works wonders. I usually just use a smoothing milk from Garnier or Dove!

What's the best hair product for flat iron straightening?

You need to use a product that protects the hair shaft from the heat. Straighteners get really hot! Try #12 from Redken (the name ?), it is a product that protects the hair from heat and does a great job helping to straighten. Try using Redken's Spray Starch for additional straightness! Report It

What's the best hair product for flat iron straightening?

Pantene leave in straitening balm

What's the best hair product for flat iron straightening?

Ever heard of a CHI? my wifes little sister loves hers

What's the best hair product for flat iron straightening?

Definitely try the Herbal Essences Dangerously Straight Flat Iron spray. It really makes my hair flat, smooth, and keeps it like that all day long. It comes in a bright pink bottle. I think it works really well...better than anything else I have tried. You might also want to check out the Shampoo and Conditioner although I use the Dangerously Straight Shampoo with the No more Frizziness Conditioner (Orange....this one is sold out at my stores alot, but I love love it). Have fun straightening =).

Whats some good products to use for straightening and de-frizzing thick and naturaly curly hair?

John Frieda makes some amazing products made especially to tame curly hair and frizz. It is great because each product has steps on them, so you use steps 1-5 for maximum results. I really hope this helps!! I know frizz can be SO annoying!

Whats some good products to use for straightening and de-frizzing thick and naturaly curly hair?

Matrix Sleek line! Use the whole regimen!! Shampoo, conditioner, and then blow- dry serum. My naturally wavy hair has never looked shinier or straighter- I love it!

What is agood way to straighten my hair???

I have tried a straightener that didn't work, tried using straightening gel and then blowdrying it didn't work. what is the best way to straighten my hair??

What is agood way to straighten my hair???

go to a stylist and get it done w/ the Japanese system, it's a bit more costly, but it is more rough on your hair too, so that is a downside, but it is permanent I belive, because it changes the bonds in your hair

What is agood way to straighten my hair???

aint it unbelievable how hey cal it japenese straighten system,

when a black women invented it, what kind of **** is that Report It

What is agood way to straighten my hair???

go to a proffesional. ask them, then if there's a solution, ask them to show you so you can do it yourself

What is agood way to straighten my hair???

Iron superglue onto the ends and soak in yaks milk

What is agood way to straighten my hair???

id say use a hot comb, u can get them at any beauty supply store, its fast and easier........it gets the roots really good 2

What is agood way to straighten my hair???

Definetly with a straightening iron that s wat i use and it works like a charm ESPECIALLY if u have really curly hair

What is agood way to straighten my hair???

try one of those curling irons that u put your hair in and then curl it. just straighten it with that. or if u have thick hair i would get it thinned. that is what i did.

What is agood way to straighten my hair???

go to a hair salon and get the japanese magic straight done. that's what it's called in korea, i'm not sure about in the states...just ask them if they have the japanese straightening treatment. i got it done and it has stayed straight for a year (: it's expensive, but it's worth it. i think american salons charge anywhere from 50$ to 400$. don't get it done if your hair is 'weak', though, and after you get it done, you have to take very good care of your hair.

What is agood way to straighten my hair???

hair straighteners do work. however, not the department or drug store ones. you have to get a professional one like torlen or chi. if you cannot afford these, try bablyss (not as good but will work). they are ceramic straighteners that are super hot...something like 420 degrees hot. you need this degree of heat to get it super straight. if you have super curly hair, straighten with a round brush first and then use the straightener. i have naturally loose curly hair that is really long, coarse and thick and i can go from curly to straight with only the straightener. make sure you always use a straightening product to ensure that you do not damage your hair. the product will also get your hair smoother and keep it straight longer

What is agood way to straighten my hair???

try a straightening comb and (ceramic flat irons) and be patient taking a little hair at a time with the (ceramics).

What is agood way to straighten my hair???

The absolute best is a product called Straighten Out from FX Special Effects. You can get it at any Walgreens, CVS, Wal-Mart, etc. You'll love it!

Do you know of a long term hair treatment which will create more perfect curls?

Without damaging the hair too much? I heard of cold restructuring, or something like that, which is supposed to smooth curls. It is supposed to be similar to the japanese hair straightening. However, I've heard that the japanese hair straightening can be reallllly bad for your hair. I have spiral curls, which I love, but are too unruly for the workplace. I'm looking for something which will defriz them and smooth them out, and doesn't require tons of time in the bathroom every morning. Have any ideas?

Do you know of a long term hair treatment which will create more perfect curls?

in fact, there is one. its called jerry curls. it done almost the same as perming and you can find it in you local hair store where you find do it yourself perms. you do it once a month and every morning you just tough it up with the directed insta- curling spray and voila! instant beautiful curls!!!

Do you know of a long term hair treatment which will create more perfect curls?

i do not think so but it will damaged your hair a lot worse

Do you know of a long term hair treatment which will create more perfect curls?

I also have spiral curls, the best conditioner is A) Queen Helene's "Cholesterol", it comes in a tube or a plastic jar. It is a yellowish color and full of protein or B) "hair mayonnaise" by Africa's best organics. Full of natural stuff. I am of mixed race and have had plenty of experience with curly hair. You can get it at a rite-aid/ or Duane Reade type of drug store. Target, wal-mart also. It is mostly in the ethnic aisles or hair care section. It is great!!!

Do you know of a long term hair treatment which will create more perfect curls?

try srawberry cream hair curling shampoo it works very long term and you can take showers without the curls straightening

Need help with massive hair damage due to Matrix Opti Smooth?

I got my hair straightened 2 weeks ago by a hair academy. They convinced me they were equipped to doing this. Matrix Opti Smooth permanent starightening was the product they used. Now, hair is burnt at scalp and breaking from the top. It looks bent and I am so devastated. I cannot combt and the mere touch leaves strands all over the place... Anyone have the same issue? What did you do minimize the damage? is it all going to fall off? I already have a spot the side of a quarter with no hair. I am very upset....

Need help with massive hair damage due to Matrix Opti Smooth?

First of all...go straight back to the school and ask for an instructor, tell her what you had done and when, then tell her what problems you are having and what she would recommend be done about it. Sadly, the truth is your hair has been chemically damaged (severely) to the point of breakage. It is not the fault of the product...either your hair was not in good condition when you went in or the product was used improperly. Oftentimes, hair damage is not "visible" to the untrained eye. Was your hair hi-lighted or bleached or over processed in any way before this product was applied? If so the damage was the underlying problem and this chemical process was the last straw for your hair. We can only push our hair so far and finally it will crash chemical wise. My suggestion to you in the meantime is: shampoo as little as possible, gently comb with a large toothed comb, air dry, and most of all DO NOT use any hot tools on it. Lastly, plan on getting a good haircut. Good luck honey.

P.S. do not massage your scalp...no vigorous anything.

Need help with massive hair damage due to Matrix Opti Smooth?

Since your hair is falling out it will most likely continue to fall out. A hairdresser will tell you they can give you "special" treatments but that's not true. You just have to wait until your new hair grows in.

I'm assuming you're Caucasion. Why don't you just buy a straightening comb or a flat iron. It does less damage to your hair.

Need help with massive hair damage due to Matrix Opti Smooth?

Sue the idiot academy and go see a real hair dresser and they should be able to help you.

Need help with massive hair damage due to Matrix Opti Smooth?

Sorry for your misfortune, unfortunately your hair will continue to break and yes you could loose your hair. In the meantime try to us a reconstructor product such as Nexus Keraphix; leave this product on your hair for at least 5 minutes. Then massage your scalp and gently rinse your hair with tepid water, leaving a small amount of the product in your hair may help. I have color treated hair and I use the conditioner on a regular routine. There is also a product that you leave in Matrix essentials instacure.

Hair straighting?

I heard of this thing where u can get your hair straightened and it lasts for a omnth or something. can u give me some info on it? (wher to get it?How much $$? Side Effects(i have thick hair). Thanks

Hair straighting?

It really depends on where you get it done. Go into your local hair salon and ask for details.

Hair straighting?

Don't go for it.

Hair straighting?

NO side affects but thick hair would be about 125$ at the least and hair palace is always a good place never lets you down!!!

Hair straighting?

Well instead of paying like $200 just pay $20-$30 for a straightener and you can stratighten it whenever you want. But if you dont want to do that then go to a salon and ask.

Hair straighting?

Hair straightening that lasts a month? never heard of it. You can get your hair chemically relaxed if your hair is naturally curly and that will last until the hair grows out. or you can get it straighten with a perm if the curl in your hair is from a perm. I wouldn't try any of it at home. GO to a salon.

Hair straighting?

u mean chemcally straightening?

Hair straighting?

i won't do it if i were u. there are probaly a bunch of bad side effects. like it won't get back to it's natural form. even if u don't mind ur hair not being like it is naturally u will probaly miss it after a month or two. but i'm not positive so if u want to go ahead. i would just stick to using a flat iron, which i use, instead.

Hair straighting?

There is this one product called chi that is supposed to last for a couple of months and you can wash your hair and everything. Depending on the length of you hair it can cost from about 300 to 500 dollars it cost me around 500 because I also have very very thick Afro like hair. Well I tried this and it worked for a couple of weeks but after a while my hair started to crunch together and eventually fall out. I could not get my money back and I had this big chunk of hair missing it finally grew back but for that time period of time I was very uncomfortable. Well if you ask me I think that you should get a traditional straightener it works very well and you should make sure that you get a deep conditioner not only does it feel very good but it makes it extremely soft. Hope that I helped. PEACE %26lt;3

Hair straighting?

You can get it Japanese Chemically straightened. It usually starts from about $100 depending on your hair length. I don't reccomened this because of the side affects such as frizzy hair. It can really damage your hair and you won't be happy. Just get a straigtner, it does take time but its better than chemicals.

HOW TO KEEP STRAIGHTENED HAIR HEALTHY AND NOT FRIZZy?

i have to straighten my hair every day, but what would u recomend to keep it healthy and keep it de-frizzled??????? i am so desperate, help me!!!!

HOW TO KEEP STRAIGHTENED HAIR HEALTHY AND NOT FRIZZy?

you could use bilsilk for the frizz and your hair you shouldent wash it everyday but forsure take bodybaths. washing you hair everyday damages your hair! not a goodthing.

well thats what i do and use!!!

HOW TO KEEP STRAIGHTENED HAIR HEALTHY AND NOT FRIZZy?

at walmart i get this stuff in a bottle called "zero frizz", you put it in your hair (after u get out of the shower) to make it not so frizzy and i think it makes it look healthier. I like my hair straight but i don't use a straightner, i use a blowdryer that way it won't totally kill my hair.

HOW TO KEEP STRAIGHTENED HAIR HEALTHY AND NOT FRIZZy?

Try the Thermasilk products - they are great for people who blowdry, straighten, or use a lot of heat on their hair everyday. Friz-ease by John Frieda is also good, but kind of a budget buster. Any leave-in conditioner would also work, as it coats your hair and protects it from damage, or weekly hot oil treatments (Tresemme makes great ones that are really inexpensive) will also help with damage and breakage.

HOW TO KEEP STRAIGHTENED HAIR HEALTHY AND NOT FRIZZy?

sounds like me.. but my hair is curly naturally but i like to straighten it because its just easier to maintain so what i do first is i have a good flatiron ion w/ red plates and i use a product for called ion straight anti frizz... its really good and u section ur hair and u dont need to put alot on... and also when u get out the shower dont use the towel to dry ur hair.. and dont allow ur hair to dry before u put product then u get frizzes on top... and its no good to straighten ur hair every day keep it down to 3 times aweek...

I have thick way hair. How can i make it look good without straightening it?

I do too! Do you have bangs? You should straighten your bangs...and after you shower...put mousse all over..and scrunche your hair up...w/ your hands. That way it looks naturally wavy...but not frizzy!

I have thick way hair. How can i make it look good without straightening it?

i have the same problem! i get my hair thinned by my stylist, just a little bit though. then i scrunch my hair using gel and hairspray then i blow dry it so it has a cute wavy look

I have thick way hair. How can i make it look good without straightening it?

put a little gel in it and it will make it look wet without really being wet and use a little bit of hairspray to make sure that it does not frizz out. good luck hope this helps.

I have thick way hair. How can i make it look good without straightening it?

put mousse and water it will make it nice, shiny and wavy manageable

I have thick way hair. How can i make it look good without straightening it?

If you have thick, wavy hair then i think you should stick with a wavy natural look or go curly...I personally like the natural look because most guys like it and it is very easy to handle, especially if you have the right products...Also, braids are very in right now and so are crown teases (pin up your bangs or hair strands that fall within the first centimeter of your hairline)!! Good Luck!

I have thick way hair. How can i make it look good without straightening it?

USE URINE ON YOUR HAIR SO THAT CAN DYE YOUR HAIR FOREVER. MUWHAWHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHHAHAHAHA...

Wavy hair advice?

well i only like my hair straightened but its too damaging.

my hair isnt too thick and its wavy is barely below my shoulder and its in layers. It always looks frizzy when i dont staighten it.

Does anyone have any good tips to make my natural hair look nice? My faceshape is oval in case that makes a difference

websites and tips on products please :)

Thank you for any answers

Wavy hair advice?

Well i think you should use Gel my mom knows she's a cosmetoligest

Wavy hair advice?

my hair is wavy also and n layers, i usually on towel dry hair put a glossing polish on it, scrunch it and let it air dry, or try adding mousse when it is wet. also the foaming pomade from paul mitchell is awesome for wavy hair, i use that also. hope this helps you.

Wavy hair advice?

Get a diffuser for the hairblower from the store. While your hair is wet, put just a little gel in it and then diffuse it dry. That will leave it more on the curly side and not quite wavy or frizzy.

If you really want to straighten it use Ion conditioner for color treated/damaged hair. It's about $9 at Sally's Beauty Supply and it lasts forever.

If your hair is really damaged, nothing is going to help it. You will just have to get it all cut off and start over again.

Wavy hair advice?

ok, i have the perfect solution for you! when you get out of the shower and ur hair is damp, apply some Biosilk Silk Therapy Treatment, i'll send you a picture of what the bottle looks like, its a clear liquid but very oily!! do nott apply too much! make sure you put a little on ur finger tips and rub hands together then apply thru hair as if combing it with ur fingers, do not brush ur hair afterwards, but dont forget to brush ur hair b4 u apply biosilk. this thing is amazing and works wonders!

hopee i was help!

Wavy hair advice?

Always use a leave in conditioner to control the frizz. Try Redken Outshine and let it air dry. Also Redken Ringlet is awesome for any curl pattern. Gives anti-frizz, shine and control that's touchable.

How to chemically straighten hair?(home)?

My friend said I could go out and buy some kit(I don't know any names) and it would temporarily straighten my hair. Can someone tell me a name(possibly at walmart), price, the pros and cons, and how long it will last(I'm hoping for 1 week at least). Thank you.

How to chemically straighten hair?(home)?

Well it sound like you will want to try a relaxer. Revlon brand will be a nice brand to try. It will say relaxer on the box. It'll have instructions on how to apply it to your hair. You may want a second party to apply it because you'll need to get it in and out. Go with Mild. No scratching of the scalp.

How to chemically straighten hair?(home)?

I have that really curly think hair and I tried everything to straighten it. Finally someone told me to get a perm kit, didnt matter what kind, instead of placing the curlers in comb it straight. I tried it and it worked. I did it 3 years ago. Had to repeat it every time my hair grows a few inches but it works really well. You can get the perm kits at walmart, kmart, target, sallys beauty supply. They cost any where from $5.00 to $50.00. Just depends on the brand and where you get it. The less expensive ones work just as well.

How to chemically straighten hair?(home)?

well i have REALLY curly hair and i use permed relaxer .. i straightens it very well .. its called optimum... the only bad thing is it may weaken your hair so i would use a very good conditioner.

Black Hair Help ASAP!!?

I dont have a relaxer so I get my hair straightened with the flat iron or get it pressed. However Im going on a boat ride this weekend and someone said to me that my hair might frizz out since we'll be over water. Black Hair Help ASAP!!?

Get your hair braided.

Black Hair Help ASAP!!?

Wash your hair and use frizzease. That product should remove the frizz out of your hair.

Black Hair Help ASAP!!?

yea trust me just wash and use frizz ease it works!! i do it too...

Black Hair Help ASAP!!?

I don't kno but mabey some gel will work in a pony tail

Black Hair Help ASAP!!?

u could wear a shower cap

Black Hair Help ASAP!!?

frizz ease totally works

Black Hair Help ASAP!!?

Lots of gel

Black Hair Help ASAP!!?

i frizz control product like sunsilk or fizz ease

Black Hair Help ASAP!!?

thats a good question, i never knew frizz eaze would work for us.

Black Hair Help ASAP!!?

He-he,yes moisture make hair very bad, especially if you have curly hair (I'm a hairstyle) so I now this problem! You just use product for frizz but that can't stop hole processing, you know-that in nature of your hair!!!Sorry for that, and I have the same problem too =)!When is raining day,I carry hat and that helps a little!Good luck with that!

Black Hair Help ASAP!!?

Yes, it is true that your hair will frizz up over water. Maybe you can try having your beautician put your hair up and add a ponytail weave to your hair. Your hair will be tucked away and the ponytail will be the only thing out. And if you get wet, your hair may too just a little but mostly it will be the ponytail and all you have to do is blow-dry that. Hope this helps.

Yes that would help!!!!! That's what I'm sort of suggesting for you. :-) Have Fun!!!!!!

So I want to chemically straighten my hair- Will It permanently damage it? Will it look real?

Also, if you say no, what is a good, cheap straightener I can use at home? This is what my hair looks like if I just get out of the shower and don't do anything to it: http://i177.photobucket.com/albums/w234/...

I want it to look like this: http://futurederm.files.wordpress.com/20... only thicker

NOT like the fake puffy straightened hair that can kind of be shaped. You know what I'm talking about?

Anyway, thanks, best answer gets the 10.

So I want to chemically straighten my hair- Will It permanently damage it? Will it look real?

doing this doesnt make your hair that straight, just straighter than it already it.you will still have to straighten it daily if you want it really really straight

a really good straightener is a Chi! its sooooo good, its like $125 , but completely worth ittt!

oh and as for the girl in the pic-your never going to get your hair like that.honestly her hairs like airbrushed and stuff.

So I want to chemically straighten my hair- Will It permanently damage it? Will it look real?

well thts cool tht ur gunna do tht n all but ya it will kinda damage ur curly locks but u can fix it by cutting ur hair again n lettin ur new curly hair grow or by conditioning ur hair alot cuz conditioner can help ur hair with the damages.ya i know wat u mean by tht fake hair tht u can tell has been straightened but in a bad way it just makes it look frizzy.dont worry if u take gd care of ur hair then it will look gd n real.though a hair straightner can help too by giving ur hair a finishing touch.use a serum or a heat protecting spray or sunthing like tht wen straightning ur hair so it doesn't turn out frizzy n damaged.

So I want to chemically straighten my hair- Will It permanently damage it? Will it look real?

chemically straightening is VERY damaging will never heal

my friend got hers done [she had very thick strong asian hair] and it completely destroyed it

you are gonna need a straightener.

sorry but if it's cheep, it will fry your hair and you will get the same results as a chemical straightening.

you need something made of ceramic.

Chi is obviously one of the most popular, but Folica has some amazing deals on other ceramic straighteners:

http://search.folica.com/search?p=Q%26amp;ts=c...

also get some thermal protection serums/sprays since you will be doing alot of straightening on that curly hair you have!

good luck

So I want to chemically straighten my hair- Will It permanently damage it? Will it look real?

What your talking about is called a Japenese Perm. I have been getting Japanese Perm's for 2 years now. I just got one. It is amazing! My hair was like yours and now it looks like it does in the picture with the model.

PROS:

Your hair is perfectly straight, like the model.

You'll never mess with a straightener until it grows back.

It won't PERMANANTLY damage.

CONS:

It's NOT cheap. It can range from $150-$200

You have to get it done somewhere good or else you wasted your money

You spend more than 4 hours sitting in the salon chair.

It stays for about 8 months until you have to get a new one.

It really damages your hair but I got an oil treatment and it's better now.

I can't think of anymore PROS or CONS because I think that's it. I thought it was worth it. If you do get it though, wait at least 3 days until you wash your hair.

Here are some results:

http://www.japanesestraightperm.com/gall...

Here is some information if you scroll down, past the "About Us" column, until you reach "Thermal Reconditioning":

And If you dont get it chemically straightened, CHI makes amazing hair straighteners. My CHI hair straightener was about $180.

What products are good for someone who straightens their hair ALOT?

My hair is naturally wavy. i wash it every other day because it gets greasy really quickly. i straighten it about 4 times a week and as a result, it has gotten really damaged. i dont want to stop straightening it, but do any of you know of any shampoo, heat-protecting products, hair masks, etc... that are really good? everything ive tried doesnt help and just makes my hair even more greasy. help please? 10 points for the best answer :)

What products are good for someone who straightens their hair ALOT?

BIOSILK. the serum is untouchable. It is the best thing on the market. I'm a guy and I'm saying this. When I used to have long hair even the females would be in awe about how well managed, straight, shiney, and healthy my hair outdid their own. Look it up. Obviously if you want to get your hair in a more obedient and stressless styleI also recommend (I also have wavy hair) to get the Japanese Straightening treatment (more herbal and less chemicals). It is a bit expensive but less destructive to the treatements available in other salons. Never relax your hair using an 'out of box' treatment (eg. Walgreens, CVS, Eckerds, etc.) Get it professionaly done.

Thermasilk Conditioner is a great protective to use daily. VO5 Hot Oil treatment is great and then lastly the Infusium Multi-Vitamin Daily treatment as a shampoo is great for your hair (do not recommend shampooing everyday).

Pantene is always great but be selective in your choice of the various products they offer. Additionally, consider leave-in conditioner for those days your just at home with nothing to do and nowhere to go. You might as well replenish, strengthen, and heal the heat damage to your hair in your free time. If your worried about too much grease (moisture) then get regular or get the products that do not emphasize to much on moisture-replenishing. Always remember that when blow drying use it from an idea "foot distance" from your head on the medium setting and not at the hottest either. Additionally ion charged air helps out the process of your hair drying in a less strenuous way. Additionally, consider using a boar brush (hollow and porous if available) to help in straigthening your hair. It works great and is less damaging to other brushes out there.

Lastly, there was a treatment sold out of Bed, Bath, and Body called Niacum or something to that extent packaged in a vintage style dark brown bottle resembling a bottle distributed by an apohecary during the 1500's. This little thing (tried it only once but my friend highly recommends it) really was great however it was very expensive too. Consider looking for it!

Hope this helped!

What products are good for someone who straightens their hair ALOT?

Hopeless閳? answer my question or give me a 10 points sometimes, I think you are pretty. Report It

What products are good for someone who straightens their hair ALOT?

i have the same trouble, and i really like TIGI Bed Head CONTROL FREAK.... put it on wet before the blow dry, and then put it on any dry trouble spots again before the straightening iron. i have also heard great things about the Corioliss straightening irons, but haven't tried one yet. good luck!

What products are good for someone who straightens their hair ALOT?

use the water solution of the perm solution ask a beautiparlor expert to do it is a great way to relax the curl

What products are good for someone who straightens their hair ALOT?

use the vo5 heat proctector gorgeous so it will not get greasy use it when you get out of the showers %26amp; blow dry.

What products are good for someone who straightens their hair ALOT?

I've the same problem too

What products are good for someone who straightens their hair ALOT?

I'm also, addicted to straightening (I'm naturally curly haired), blow dryers, irons, products you name it. The difference between us straightening junkies is that my hair is very dry and somewhat coarse, and you seem to have an oily scalp. Most of straightening products are unfortunately in your case, developed for dry hair.

You should try shampooing with an specially formulated shampoo for oily hair (not dry hair) or a clarifying shampoo that really gets the junk out of there; and DON'T use any masques, since they replenish moisture into hair, hence maybe making it oilier in your case.

It's cool that you shampoo every other day, how about daily? (In my case I have to shampoo twice a week since my hair can get sooo dry by over shampooing.). Also, go very light in the conditiones department, use a very mild, not heavy conditioner for oily hair and only apply it to the ends of your hair.

I use Citre Shine oil for straightening (it prevents my hair from frying and gives it a natural and shiny texture), maybe that's waaaay too heavy for you, you should probably use a gel form straightener, like those from Sebastian, which you apply before straightening, not during.

For GREAT straight results, I recommend old-school blow drying straight with a HUGE barrelled brush, and when totally dry, then go over with a very high temperature ceramic iron. I think heat protective products are applicable to your specific case also (as long as they're not too heavy).

What products are good for someone who straightens their hair ALOT?

AVOID GLYCERIN at all cost!!!

if any of your products you are using now have glycerin in them -THROW THEM OUT.

if the product is for flat ironing then only use a dab on DRY hair (on each section).

if the product's instructions read 'on damp hair' then make sure your hair is damp not wet. the only thing wet hair will do for a product is to dilute it (which is only good with shampoo).

make sure your hair is dry before you flat iron it. ironing damp hair is like ironing wet silk. (oh , so wrong!)

as for a product line...hold on.

o.k. i took a look at your 360 page. if this is you then i would recommend one of 4 product lines.

1. framesi-shine in products (my personal favorite for myself and i have hair a lot like yours it looks like.)

2.textureline (white and black bottles) i don't remember what company sells it. maybe wella. but it is the professional line.

3. purehair-ARTec products. everything is organic. and it actually works great! (most organic company's hair products don't work worth a crap!)

4. tressa. super hard to find. the pliance shampoo is awesome! they also have a shampoo to remove buildup that doesn't feel gross. the styling products of this line will weigh down your hair, so it might not be the right one for you.

hope this gets you going in the right direction!

What's the best hair dryer for curly hair?

I am multi-ethnic with coarse, frizzy unruly curly hair. Straightening can be achieved on my hair with a good blowout (without relaxing), but can take a long time. I want to be able to dry my hair and just leave it curly. I have always air-dried to leave it curly, but it takes forever and ends up frizzing if i have to sleep on it. Any suggestions on other hair tools and products for multi-ethnic curls would be helpful, too.

What's the best hair dryer for curly hair?

Any type of dryer will work fine, you need to use the right products, a curl enhancer and use a diffuser on the dryer, that takes most of the blow out and uses the air to dry it naturally. With multi-ethnic hair, you might need to use gloss drops, it's oil based, and the curl enhancer. Any salon will carry these. They cost a bit, but you only use a little bit so they last a long time. I myself after shampoo and conditioner, I towel dry my hair, use a leave in conditioner, I prefer Tigi after party, then oil drops, I prefer Tigi girl toy, then that will tone down the frizzy part, then I use a curl enhancer, I prefer Regis brand curl enhancer and use the diffuser on my hair, it hangs in beautiful ringlets. Give it a try.

What's the best hair dryer for curly hair?

use straightening hair blow dryer, the one with teeth so you could brush hair while blow drying...very effective with ethnic hair.

What's the best hair dryer for curly hair?

I buy this hair relaxer at the store called sunsilk de-frizz.

It works very well...I love it. After you get out of the shower, which would most likely be better to take in the beginning of the day, rather than at the end, apply this cream throughout all your hair. It doesn't get hard, crunchy, and it's not sticky. It just controls those pesky fly-aways. Then you can either let it air dry, or you can blow dry it...it should contain your frizzzz! Try it out!

Good luck!

What's the best hair dryer for curly hair?

You can best keep your curly look and dry your hair by buying an inexpensive diffuser to place on the end of the blowdryer (it looks like a round filter that attaches to the end of the dryer where the air comes out). The diffuser spreads the heat to a wider area and allows for the curls to stay in place. I am a professional stylist and I like using the Frizz Ease products and also Redken has a fantastic heat activated "smooth down" product that leaves your hair looking like it had just been relaxed.

Would a perm work for my hair?

I'm tired of getting my hair straightened %26amp; I want something different. So I was thinking about getting a curly perm. I'm mixed with black and white, so I have thick, poofy, frizzy hair. Would a perm work?

I want curls like this:

http://mixedchicks.net/images/Flawless.j...

Has anyone tried Mixed Chicks products? (If so, do they work?)

I don't want to damage my hair but I really want frizz-free, soft curls. If getting a perm isn't best, what are some products that actually work for my hair type?

Don't mention those hair products that you can find at like, walmart and stuff. Usually, there products for caucasion-type hair and they don't work.

Would a perm work for my hair?

I have never heard of mixed chicks products, and I would rather you try something like a leave in conditioner that controls the frizz, but if you must, use the perm as a texturizer. You would just put it in like conditioner throughout your hair and comb it throught with a wide tooth comb. You would only keep it in there for like a minute. You will see the texture you want your hair to be and rinse it out. Of course you must use a neutralizer and follow the directions for rinsing and washing. It would probably be best for you to go to a salon, preferably a salon that deals with natural and relaxed hair, and ask for a texturizer.

Or you could try Vigoral, they use that on like little kids who are too young for a perm but need to straighten their hair a little to control it better if is is really course. This one might be your best bet.

Would a perm work for my hair?

No prob Report It

Would a perm work for my hair?

I have thick wavy hair. How can i make it look good without straightening it?

If you have thick, wavy hair then i think you should stick with a wavy natural look or go curly...I personally like the natural look because most guys like it and it is very easy to handle, especially if you have the right products... You should use mousse to scrunch it and then sleep with wet hair or put it in braids. But don't comb the braids out otherwise they will get poofy....just separate them with your fingers. Also, exotic braids are very in right now and so are crown teases (pin up your bangs or hair strands that fall within the first centimeter of your hairline)!! Good Luck!

I have thick wavy hair. How can i make it look good without straightening it?

no trust me i have thick wavey hair.

I have thick wavy hair. How can i make it look good without straightening it?

Try defining the waves by using a curl/wave defining moose,

( like paintene or aussie ) and scrunching your hair when its damp with a diffuser and hairdryer. If you want it to look more straight, then try a straightening serum or moose, and then blowdrying it with a brush. Make sure to blow in the direction your hair grows, and to add volume; blow towards the roots.

Good luck!

I have thick wavy hair. How can i make it look good without straightening it?

Hmmmm thick wavy hair. Some suggestions would be to wash it every other day, or if you happen to shower every day use just conditioner and not shampoo every other day. This will restore some of the natural oils and make it tame down a bit.

Also you could try some pomade or serum such as john freida frizz serum which u use when ur hair is damp it usually gives it a gloss and tames it also it is like a oil.

When you get done washing your hair you could finger comb it so it doesnt break up the waves too much which gives it a more chunky look which would cut down on the bulk. I would avoid the blow dryer for sure and brushing it when it is dry.

Just a few tips from past experience

I have thick wavy hair. How can i make it look good without straightening it?

i have the same kind of hair, and the best thing to do, is keep it short and use gel to keep it in line. be proud of what you got, Ive gotten a lot of compliments on my hair, the girls seem to love it, so work with you got

I have thick wavy hair. How can i make it look good without straightening it?

if it is super wavy then try using a curling iron to define your waves so its not poofy but if you have slightly wavy hair then i suggest while you blowdry you scrunch your hair it looks super pretty and ive done both a million times because i get my hair thinned and when i do i lose a lot of the waves and just have mild waves instead of super waves

I have thick wavy hair. How can i make it look good without straightening it?

I have thick, wavy hair too. On days when I don't want to straighten it, there are a few things I do.

One thing that I do (if my arms are up to it) is put it either in french braids or french twists. These really only work if you have longer hair. I usually do one on each side of my head, starting at the top and working back. Then I put them either in little buns at the back of my head or continue braiding (if I'm doing french braids).

Another thing you can do, which takes hardly any time at all, is just leave it down. I use a spray gel or mousse and work it through my hair while it's still wet. Then I blow dry and scrunch the ends so that the wave is nice and defined. The gel helps hold the wave, but also keeps your hair from getting frizzy. I usually finish up by working a little shine serum through it after I've finished, so the waves look nice and sleek.

Hope that helps!

I have thick wavy hair. How can i make it look good without straightening it?

My hair is also thick but more curly than wavy but you should try the Sunsilk products, there's a creme that you can use after you wash/condition which acts like a cross between a leave in conditioner and a gel without leaving your hair crunchy, you can actually run your hands through your hair. You should let your hair dry on it's own. Once it's dry, then you can add a bit of gel or mousse to pump up the curls...works wonders.

Curly hair vs. Straight hair?

why do women with straight hair, curl it and women with curly hair straighten it?

Curly hair vs. Straight hair?

for a change. or may be u normally do not respect what u have and run after what u don't have.

Curly hair vs. Straight hair?

the grass is always greener on the otherside

Curly hair vs. Straight hair?

Yeah thats a question in itself. I love silky straight hairs.

Curly hair vs. Straight hair?

They are trying to look better so they a sometimes unsure whether to keep it straight or curl it.They always get the feeling that they are "out-of-fashion". Thats why.

Curly hair vs. Straight hair?

i have natural curly hair but hate it. i spend almost an hour every three days straightening my hair after its washed. men prefer straight hair.

Curly hair vs. Straight hair?

For a change. I have curly hair. I prefer curly hair. But it can be messy and it can have a mind of its own so I often straighten it as I can be sure it will be neat.

Curly hair vs. Straight hair?

Mine is wavy and it never has any shape if i don't do something with it. That's why i usually straighten it.

Curly hair vs. Straight hair?

Its not fun having the same hair style everyday

Curly hair vs. Straight hair?

i have hair that won't listen to me either way but its mostly straight (but not all pretty silky shine straight) so depending on what i want to do with it is how i style it, one day its curled with a gallon of freeze n shine in it the next its straighted

Curly hair vs. Straight hair?

I have naturally curly red hair. Some days I let it go natural, some days I straighten. Some days I wear it up, some days I wear it down, some days I bobby pin it to my head and throw on a cute hat so it looks like I have a wicked short pixie cut. Variety is the spice of life.

What are the options for relaxing non-african hair?

I was thinking of getting japanese hair straightening, but it's way too expensive. What are the other options? Are the old fashioned relaxers permanent or not? Would it be better to get semi-permanent straightening such as brazilian keratin treatment? Before I knew much about relaxing, I asked two different hairdressers to relax my hair and they flat-out refused. My hair is not fine, delicate, or dyed, so that's not why they said no. Is it because most salons only carry relaxers for african americans, or because some stylists don't like to relax hair that's not curly? My hair is extremely wavy, frizzy, and coarse but not curly.

What are the options for relaxing non-african hair?

Keep calling salons that will do your hair with a regular perm. If they are a good hair stylist they will know a regular everyday perm will do non-ethnic hair just fine! You do not need a relaxer! I don't know why they won't do your hair. Relaxers come in mild medium and strong. But you would do fine with a regular every- day perm solution. Just get on the phone and set up a consultation with a hairdresser that knows how to do this, and is willing to do this on you.

What is the best product for using before/after you straightened your hair??

My hair is puffy and not very curly. I have bangs and it's really hard for me to straightened them. I have no problem with straightening my other hair. I was wondering if there is a lotion, cream, hairspray or whatever that you can use to moisturize my hair after I straighten them?? They are really dry and they can straighten that well. I don't care about the price but I need to find this product in drugstore or ULTA. Please I need 1 or 2 products and not the whole line of them. Thanks!

What is the best product for using before/after you straightened your hair??

I have really wavy hair so I straighten my hair alot. To keep my hair from getting really dry I use ion heat protection spray. And all you have to do is spray it on before straightening your hair . It is sold at Sally's Beaty supplies and is speically made for straightening your hair.

What is the best product for using before/after you straightened your hair??

http://www.folica.com/Hair_Strai_153_1.h...

go there for lots of options but my fav is Brilliant Brunette Simply Sleek straightening balm

What is the best product for using before/after you straightened your hair??

The ultimate question: how best to straighten hair. This is my best tip:

In the shower, use a straightening or moisturizing shampoo and conditioner, and leave the conditioner on for at least 10 minutes before you rinse it out.

After shower, gently blot hair with a towel, then mist on a leave-in conditioner and brush it through the length of the hair. Before your use a hair dryer, apply anti-frizz serum like John Frieda's Frizz Ease Hair Serum. Avoid anything that says "volumizing" because this can end up working against you and make your pouffy hair even bigger when its dry.

Next, take a hair clip and clip the top half of your hair up. Using a flat and big paddle brush, blow dry the bottom section of your hair, aiming the dryer down at your hair while running the paddle brush down the length of your hair. After the bottom protion is dry, apply a finishing cream like John Frieda's Secret Weapon finishing cream to the dry hair. Let down the rest of your hair and dry it in the same way.

After you are done, take a flat iron and run it down sections of your hair to give it extra polish and to smooth any other pouffy spots.

Best hair straightener?

what's the best hair straighten that doesnt damage you hair too bad? i have very curly hair keep in mind. idc about the price either and i dont want that japanese treatment that lasts 6 months or w.e

Best hair straightener?

I researched straightening irons last time I was going to buy one and had decided to get a Sedu.I don't live near a mall and there is a Sally close to my house and because I was sort of in a hurry to purchase one I thought I'll try one of theirs and if I don't like it I'll take it back. I bought a Jilbere Tourmaline Series flat iron at Sally. I think it cost around $.65.00 I got the wide one. You may be able to get the narrow one for around 40.00.It is GREAT. It also has a range of heat settings.Everyone that uses it says "your hair iron is awesome!" It was probably less than half of what I would have paid for a Sedu or Chi. On a scale of 1 to 10 I'd give it a 10. I really don't think it could do a better job. Do like I did, give it a try, and if you don't like it take it back. Trust me though, you won't take it back.Seriously I LOVE this straightener! Whatever brand you choose, MAKE SURE it's a tourmaline straightener. They are far less damaging to your hair.I use heat protectors to keep from frying my hair. This is the best and least damaging straightener I have owned. God bless!!

Best hair straightener?

Chi straighteners are definitely the best on the market.

To keep from damaging your hair (which all straighteners will), use deep conditioner and heat protectants when you straighten or blow-dry.

I straightened my hair like about two weeks ago and its still straight even with rain and shower water getting on it.

I think my straightener is magic :D

How do u straighten ur hair so it stays streight all day?

yes, you need to wash and blow dry it correctly. most hairdressers can teach you how to dry it straight. then straighten it, itll last as long as you need to wash your hair again.

lessons are about 鎷?0 - same as a wash and blow dry at the hairdressers just ask lots of questions.

all use a large round brush when you blow dry it to smooth and straighten. this will prime the foundations!

also straighting serum can help, or a droplet of baby oil - no more or itll look greasy. this helps my hair stay soft shiny, not huge like an afro, and straight!!

practice, practice, practice!!

How do u straighten ur hair so it stays streight all day?

you might want to consider buying a straightner that will straighten your hair better. also after you straighten your hair spray a finishing hairspray all over your hair and it should stay straight all day. good luck! :)

How do you make straightened hair have volume?

I want to straighten my hair for tommorow because i have a speech, but when i do there is no volume to it. It just looks really thin. So are there any tips on how to make it look fuller. I have redkan Body Full, but when i use it, it makes my hair stiff.

Thanks for any answers!

How do you make straightened hair have volume?

Part your hair on a totally diffrent side. and try using volumizing shampoo. and also when you're drying your hair - air dry it . or if you have to blow dry it . flip your head upside down . But after try to change your part . It should definnetly work,

How do you make straightened hair have volume?

Blow dry your hair with your head upside down. It make it fall on your head to look like you have more volume.

How do you make straightened hair have volume?

the best way to pull this off with having some volume it flipping it in a bit at the bottom. Dont make it look so straight. Also, when your straightning it(i asume your using a straightening iron) take the iron and straighten from the top of your head. When you get the the top of your head, twist in a little so you could have some volume at the top to and it wont make it look like your hair is just there

How do you make straightened hair have volume?

actually if you have long loose curls you could straighten your hair very loosely like overlapping and swiping quicker, and leaving on large wave in your hair thats below your neck. kinda like a loose "S". use some sunsilk volumizing stuff its like $3 and it works pretty good(the yellow bottles)you can get thewm at walmart, walgreens, target, cvs, rite aid, etc. or go to a salon person or to sally beauty supply and tell the m your problem. also using those non heat huge rollers on your your roots really help.

this hairspray gives a lot of volume, and it has awesome hold, so with that combined with the rollers, youre hairs gonna look gorgeous:) http://www.folica.com/Thicker_Fuller__d2...

hope i helped:D

Hair help!!!?

well i only like my hair straightened but its too damaging.

my hair isnt too thick and its wavy is barely below my shoulder and its in layers. It always looks frizzy when i dont staighten it.

Does anyone have any good tips to make my natural hair look nice? My faceshape is oval in case that makes a difference

websites and tips on products please :)

Thank you for any answers

Hair help!!!?

Try a deep conditioning treatment to bring your hair back into condition.

To make your hair straight, use a straightening balm (I like Straight Sexy Hair) and a brush to blow-dry straight, it works better if you use small sections at a time. It deletes the step of having to use a flat iron on all of your hair, just use it for touch-ups.

I have chemically treated hair (colored and straightened) and I use Ojon hair treatment every week to prevent frizzies

Hair help!!!?

well you should use frizz-ease secret weapon

it doesnt make your hair frizzy and it relaxes it and makes it soft

How do I permanantly straighten my hair at home?

Helloo... I have naturally curly hair but most days its just frizzy, and I dont have the money to go to a hairdresser so I have some questions about permanantly straightening my hair at home:

1. What products will I need, and how much will they cost?

2. How do I do it?

3. How long will it last?

4. How long will it take?

Please answer. xxx

How do I permanantly straighten my hair at home?

You can buy a perm kit at walmart or meijer for around $10.00,

Use the solution that comes with it, and comb your hair straight, just keep combing it for the whole time needed. when the time is up, rinse, just follow the directions on the box(only difference is, your not using the curlers) This should work pretty good. If you still have a wavy consistency to your hair, you can buy a hair straightener iron for around $20. Good Luck.

How do I permanantly straighten my hair at home?

you can't do it permanently. you need to get the Japanese Straightening thing. there is nothing that you can buy that will straighten your hair for a length of time. only temporary.

try to work WITH your curls. i use Aussie products, and love them.

How do I permanantly straighten my hair at home?

Hi i have the exact same hair its naturally curly and it just goes frizzy. Unfortunatly you cant permanantly make your hair straight but what i do is when i have a shower when it drys off i usually straighten it and blow dry it and this is everyday so its sorta like its naturally straight :)

xx

How do I permanantly straighten my hair at home?

I know someone who has very frizzy curly hair and she uses Dark %26amp; Lovely. The product is originally made for african hair texture to be made curly, but it reverses the affect if you have frizzy curly hair. It wont be pin straight but it settles the curls down alot, enough so that you'll just have to use a straightner to touch it up

Thick, wavy and poofy hair?!?! help plzz?

Thick, wavy and poofy hair?!?! help plzz?

I have thick, wavy and poofy hair.

Here are a few tips:

#1. Buy a straitener $40.00 or more.. 2 inch plate.. Wash you hair and towel dry it until the water doesn't drip off anymore. Next, blow dry it and use your hairbrush to hold the hair strait while you dry it. When it is completely dry take out 1/3rd of a section of hair a little above the ears all the way around and then straiten that section.. then take out the section onto of that and straiten it.. then the last top section.. Done.

#2. Get a 'wet look' gel and wet your hair completely down and while it is still soaking wet squeeze a handful of gel into your palm and scrunch it into your hair for a 'cute curly, just ot out of the shower look, all day. Done.

#3. If you just o over the top of your hair with a straightener to get the 'poof' out then your hair will look neat, with body. Done. ;)

Hope this helps!

Thick, wavy and poofy hair?!?! help plzz?

hey, i have superthick hair too. its got some natural curl and wave in it and honestly, i dont really straighten it. if you use some type of curl-defining gel it really makes them look good. try it out and see how you like it. i use garnier fructis curl defining spray gel, its great.

Thick, wavy and poofy hair?!?! help plzz?

If your hair is olily this wont work, but body lotion is what I use try something without a dye or scent in it they can mess with your color and it does not take much but it will weigh down your hair cutting the frizz and poof also you might want to get a different cut that will thin it out and give it a shape that will accomidate your needs.

Thick, wavy and poofy hair?!?! help plzz?

put relaxers in ur hair. trust me it works

Good luck!!! and u should have a salon relax ur hair.

Whenever I get my hair presssed, then flat ironed after 3 days it itches like crazy what should I do

It always does this whenever I get my hair straightened. I get it done at a beauty salon and sometimes she puts some minty stuff to stop the itches but It doesn't work. I try oils or grease it helps, then starts itching at that same spot so I know its not becuase of a dry scalp. I hate oils and grease anyways becuase it makes my hair stick together and it becomes weighed down. I don't know what to do. I itch it and it helps which feels good (toe curling good and moaning good....I'm serious LOL.) But after I itch the itchiness spreads and that becomes a problem and to top that it gets dirty and white specks of dandruff decorate my hair (YUCK!) should I stop itching (I never done this before) will the itching eventually go away until my next hair appointment (I get it done every 2 weeks). Sorry for the length..I'm desperate!

P.S. I have 4a/b hair (the nappy kind)

Whenever I get my hair presssed, then flat ironed after 3 days it itches like crazy what should I do?

Naw obviously your stylist is not using the right products for your scalp the minty stuff is probably exactly that peppermint treatment which is drying you out even more. Your should not be greasy after a press or flat iron. You need a new stylist someone who not only know how to stlye your hair but also how to treat problems like itchy scalp hair bailing dandruff

Whenever I get my hair presssed, then flat ironed after 3 days it itches like crazy what should I do?

Dry scalp?

Whenever I get my hair presssed, then flat ironed after 3 days it itches like crazy what should I do?

Try purchasing the shampoo your stylist uses and shampoo your hair more often.

Hair reconstructor question. See details.?

I got a perm not veyr long ago, turned out to be a disaster so i got my hair straightened again and it destroyed my hair completely, it's not smooth anymore, feels like it's dead already. The salon lady used some really strong reconstructor on my hair and made it smooth for like a day or so, but i forgot the brand, anyone knows what brand is good?

Hair reconstructor question. See details.?

Well, yes but let me give you a quick DNA lesson because when I answer, I like to back it up with facts. Hair has 3 parts to it, the inner part "modula" the middle part (which is the part that gets reconstructed with perms, straightners, color, etc.) the "cortex" and the outter part the "cuticle". When you get a chemical service, they have to blow out the cuticle (outter part) with either heat, amonia, or acid in order to be able to reconstruct the cortex. This is why it's fried. There's no cuticle left.

Now, protein rebuilds the cortex and cuticle and moisture helps keep it pliable so more doesn't break off since it has no cuticle. So you need BOTH!!

Thirdly, it's important to understand that you need a product that is able to "penetrate" which is why your lady got it smooth for only a day, cause it probably didn't penetrate, it only coated. So as soon as you wash it, it washes away.

Products have what's called a "mollecular weight" meaning the weight at which the molecules are broken down. The mollecular weight of a hair product has to be very small to penetrate through the cuticle (and in your case, what's left of it). The only products that I know of that do this are JOICO, L'ANZA, ABBA and REDKEN (although Redken doesn't list it on their bottles). Joico and ABBA use Human Hair Keratin protein meaning the protein mimiques the hair's protein and human protein is made up of 19 amino acids. Many products use a vegetable protein and other proteins which do not make up the entire peptide chain or 19 amino acids. (I know it's deep, stay with me!!!!!- I'm trying to help you). So it's going to cost you but it's worth it if you use these prodcuts the way they instruct.

I recomment Joico's K-Pak , Redken So Smooth, L'anza (don't know the names but a reconstructor of any kind is good) and Abba although I've never been happy with the way my hair feels. It never has enough moisture.

So remember, protein and moisture. But the right kind of protein is important. Don't go into a beauty supply and expect the sales girl to have a degree in chemistry, SHE WON'T, just like your stylist doesn't which is why your hair is in the shape it's in. Listen to someone with knowledge about chemistry because it is after all a chemical reaction and a chemical process. GOOD LUCK!!!! It will get better. Eath healthy too to give your hair vitamins.

Hair reconstructor question. See details.?

Unfortunately, once hair is damaged, no product or service on the face of the earth will "repair" it. Deep conditioning treatments will help fill in the damaged areas and temporaroly make it look and feel better. You could try K-Pak or a similar reconstructor. Gentle sulphate-free shampoos and rich, cone-free conditioners and light oilings will help infuse moisture, also helping it to look and feel better.

Try not to blow-dry or use heat stylers. Let your hair grow and get regular fairly large trims to get rid of the damaged, ravaged hair. Be gentle to your hair and for Pete's sake, stop flooding it with nasty, damaging chemicals. Good luck. Hope this helps.

Hair emergency!!!!?

ok, so i had my hair straighten like a month and a half ago %26amp; the results wasn`t that good. it`s not that straight because part of my hair`s like curly%26amp;dry %26amp; other`s straight. I don`t know what to do!! I do my own treatment, it kinda work for awhile then i go to a saloon to do treatment, it kinda last 3 days.

So, I`ve waited for like one and a half month to dye my hair but after dying it, it`s get worse! it`s curlier than ever on the surface %26amp; it kinda tangles! I hate it!!! \

What cause this %26amp; how should i deal with it?!?!?

Hair emergency!!!!?

I don't know if you are a man or a woman. But, this is nuts. It seems you can't live with your hair in its natural style. Keep messing with it and you will lose it. For healthy hair it has to be given a proteinized shampoo with vitamin e. Followed by a proteinized conditioner with vitamin e, also. Try to avoid shampoos and conditioners with harsh chemicals and alcohol. And eat a healthy diet. Ever hear the saying, "You are what you eat."

Hair emergency!!!!?

try to make it work, curl the rest of your hair

Hair emergency!!!!?

ummm.. wow, i would suggest you stay calm and go straight to the show are wash everything out of your hair! they brush your hair and braid it and put it in a bun! hope that helped, i would run to a hair salon, and ask what conditioner is good for your hair, and dye only makes your hair thicker so i would definetly tell the salonist your history with dyes.

good luck;]

Hair emergency!!!!?

You could shave it off, or straighten it again.

Hair emergency!!!!?

You need to get a hair treatment asap at a professional salon. There they can give you good tips on how to straighen your kind of hair.

Hair emergency!!!!?

It sounds like you hair needs more protein instead of moisture to correct the problem. Go to a salon and ask for a shampoo and cond. for brittle hair, but once you finish with the bottles of shampoo and conditioner, go back to moisture because the protein will strengthen your hair, but if overused it can dry it out and give it horrible texture!!

Hair emergency!!!!?

don't do anything else to it! such as dying, permanately straightening, etc. your hair will fall out! did you try a straightener? i know it takes more time but if that's what it takes to make your hair straight and that's the way you want it, that's what you should do.

Should you dye and straighten your hair in one day?

My hair is already thick, dry, and curly. I really want to straighten it today, but I am worried that straightening and coloring it is safe to do on the same day or will it make it worse.

Should you dye and straighten your hair in one day?

If you mean straighten by flat iron sure you can that's fine. However, if you mean to chemically straighten it I wouldn't do it.

Should you dye and straighten your hair in one day?

no the dye produce will stain your ceramic plates on your straighteners.

Should you dye and straighten your hair in one day?

no its bad. jsut leave it curly. plus the dye could ruin ur hairstraightner

Should you dye and straighten your hair in one day?

well dying your hair will damage your hair any way so why not but i wouldn't recommend it.

My hair gets really greasy at my bangs!?

my hair gets really greasy at my bangs! like the day after i wash it!? how can i prevent this...also how do i help make my dry hair less dry...and is their any shampoo that can help prevent hair straightening damage....or any creams? 1 mor question i promise...is their ANY SHAMPOO that makes ur hair straighter or more relaxed? THANKYOU~

My hair gets really greasy at my bangs!?

My hair produces oil very quickly. I have to wash it every day - especially if I have bangs.

But what I've learned is that as I get older I can get away with what I call fake washing. I'll take the part of my hair that is just around my face and separate it from the rest of my hair and just shampoo that part (don't condition it). Then I've washed the part that looks oily without having to rewash and dry all my hair.

Also, when you do wash, try to not put conditioner on the front part of your hair, the part that gets oily, but just concentrate on the ends. It may keep that part from looking as oily.

About straightening hair shampoo. I have semi-wavy hair and what I've found to work best is "Straighten up" by Sunsilk. It keeps my hair be less frizzy and puffy.

My hair gets really greasy at my bangs!?

herbel essences hello hydration works REALLY well..

or the one for straight hair. i think it is a orange bottle.

they both leave your hair looking really shiny and soft!

My hair gets really greasy at my bangs!?

my hair is super dry, and i've found that the Redken All Soft Heavy Cream is amazing and i use it once a week. Also, I have dirty blonde hair and if yours isn't too brown you can use baby powder in your bangs to soak up the grease. it will help to keep your hands off of them as well.

Do you curl or straighten the hair on the back of your head?

My husband bought me a straightening iron, and I straighten the hair on the sides, but not in the back-I have no idea how to flat iron where I can楹搕 see.

How do you do it?

Do you curl or straighten the hair on the back of your head?

A good way to do it is if you part your hair down the back, like your going to put it in pig tails, and then you straighten one side at a time. It straightens everything so you dont have any wavy parts in the back.

Do you curl or straighten the hair on the back of your head?

I section my hair starting with the bottom and work up to the top, by taking 1 inch sections it isn't that hard you can do it

Do you curl or straighten the hair on the back of your head?

well its easier if you separate your hair %26amp; straighten in pieces. and just look in the mirror

Do you curl or straighten the hair on the back of your head?

Get a mirror

Do you curl or straighten the hair on the back of your head?

I take a piece or clump of the back and look in the mirror and do, or i will ask someone for help...its the the best way to get totaly straight by taking some of it a doing in the mirror but if your in a rush it helps

Do you curl or straighten the hair on the back of your head?

I pull my hair to the side as if I'm making pigtails, makes it easier

Do you curl or straighten the hair on the back of your head?

Because of a rare medical condition call curlicutecal disease I have to straighten all the hair on my body every week to prevent it from curving back into my body and puncturing a major organ. when I was boy I was shocked when doctors removed a thirty foot hair from my ear canal which had caused me to nearly go deaf, in addition my hairs are thirty times thicker than average hair and grows six times as fast.

For a long time I worked the circus under the stage name "Greco the rope eared boy" but I digress.

But it isn't all that bad because of another condition that I got while vacationing in Borneo " Kathicur rumotoricis" which actually limits the amount of actual hairs per square inch on my body, I only have seven hairs on my entire body but they are all three inches around and they constantly grab onto my clothing and look really weird sticking out from under my sleeve and collar and as a result I have become quite popular with the gay community but I don't know why, any way ,I have found them to be quite cool and tolerant of me. Any way what was your question?

Do you curl or straighten the hair on the back of your head?

I straighten my naturally curly hair with a high-quality flat iron (the quality makes a big difference because others I've had before just didn't straighten the hair that well). I separate my hair in sections with a butterfly clip, starting from the back of the head - up. The back of the hair is most certainly the hardest place to flatten just because you can't see it, and also its hard for me to bend my arm that way. You just have to be patient, and give it time because it'll take a few strokes to get it flat in the back.

Good luck.

HAIR DRESSER.... Please answer???

I am looking into getting my hair straightened... permanetly??

(or at least until it grows out, or for a few months).

I have asked allot of people what its like and things like and how its done...

I absolutely understand that its damaging to your hair... BUT

I have med-long wavy thick hair. I do not have damaged hair and have never died it, and its thick and grows fairly fast.

Would it still be OK to go through with it... which I REALLY want to do.

Dont get me wrong... I do appreciate the natural curls/waves that I have, but I consider that it would grow back eventually, and it would be a brake from the heavy wavyness...

And any other things I need to know about it before I get it done

????

Price??.... (in Canada)

HAIR DRESSER.... Please answer???

Damaging only occurs if u abuse your hair a lot. Look straightening dosent mean, you can just go easy on the maintenance. I reguarly straigthten my hair. My hair looks really great. But maintaining them is the tough part. You have a use a mild damage control shampoo, and strong conditioner. Have to oil your hair regularly. Get a hair spa once or twice in a week, for atleast a month after straightening. Also, have to regularly use a leave in conditioner. Best part of straightening is, you dont have to blow dry em. Just wash, apply leave in condit, and go out. your hair dries straight. Id say go for it if u can give time to your hair.

HAIR DRESSER.... Please answer???

right...basically chemical straightening is similar process to perming, same chemicals used etc...just no rollers.

shud not be done on bleached as..well u wont have ne left.

you need to make sure the week b4 u have it done, that u do a deep conditioning treatment and dont wash ur hair for 24 hours b4 the treatment.

and then...after....dont was hair for 48 hours, use loads of reconstructing conditioning treatments.

not sure on price over here in the uk its about 鎷?0.

HAIR DRESSER.... Please answer???

Well I couldn't tell you the price, but straightening your hair isn't going to make it any less thick or heavy and if it isn't that curly it really won't ever go completely straight just mostly. if you want a break from the thickness then get it thinned out. but i really wouldn't recommend it especially if your hair grows fast.

HAIR DRESSER.... Please answer???

HI IM A HAIR DRESSER IT IS OK TO HAVE IT STRAIGHTENED PERMANETLY IF YOU ARE GOING TO A GOOD SALON AND HAVING IT WITH THE BEST PRODUCT MONEY CAN BUY THEN YOUR HAIR WILL STILL FEEL GREAT.

HAIR DRESSER.... Please answer???

The one thing you need to know about chemical straighteners is they will not make your hair poker straight- you will still have to round-brush or flat iron your hair. It will reduce your styling time but not eliminate it completely. Also, a chemical straightener is the same thing as a permanent wave, and just as a perm relaxes, straightened hair starts waving back up. If you are looking to reduce the 'heaviness' of your hair, I think you should try a layered style and razor out the weight. Again, you won't be eliminating style time but you will reduce it. A straightener will help you get the look you want, but the cut is the important part. The end result will be lightness and movement.

Where can I get spray stuff to spray on my hair before I straighten it?

I've been lookin for spray to spray on my hair before straightening it to protect it, keep frizz away, and keep my curly hair straight. Just tell me where I can find it like at wal mart or what? If so, what name brand is best??? Please help!!!閳?br>Where can I get spray stuff to spray on my hair before I straighten it?

At Wal-Mart, Walgreens, or a grocery store you can find just the spray you're looking for: V05 heat defense (can't remember if that is the actual title, but that is the brand). I used to use that when I straightened my hair and it worked great.

Where can I get spray stuff to spray on my hair before I straighten it?

I get mine at Sally's Beauty Supply, and the brand of mine is Beyond the Zone. It works great for my hair, and my hair is VERY curly.

Where can I get spray stuff to spray on my hair before I straighten it?

Walmart should have different brands like L'Oreal, Garnier Fructis, Herbal Essences (which do a pretty good job for a $5 product). If you want the more high end products you should go to a salon.

Where can I get spray stuff to spray on my hair before I straighten it?

Kerastase Oleo Relax is great. I have curly hair and straighten it often. I buy mine at my hair salon. They have a website (www.kerastase.com) that can help you find a salon that carries their products.

How do u straighten your hair with an iron and not have it smell?

How do u straighten your hair with an iron and not have it smell?

put a serum in your hair a day before you starighten it .. so your straighner has something else to burn other than your hair

How do u straighten your hair with an iron and not have it smell?

This is not a good sign. There's a very good possibility that you:

1) are using bad (or too many) products

2) need to TURN DOWN the heat

3) need a better straightener

Make sure your hair is dry before straightening, as well - This is very important to prevent damage.

How do u straighten your hair with an iron and not have it smell?

you just need to put a pre-heat or heat protectant product in your hair. Any will do really. It will steam a lot, but not smell :)

How do u straighten your hair with an iron and not have it smell?

My sister had the same problem. She would put hair spray or styling spray in her hair and the sticky film from the spray would stay on it. Her hair would smell burnt or the bathroom would smell like burnt hair for a while. What she did was when it cools down she would wash it with a damp cloth and wipe off the excess hair spray on the iron which was causing the smell. The next time you straighten your hair, it should be all good! Oh, and whatever you do please use the lowest setting. The high heat may be causing the smell as well. I know that it might take a while for the low heat the straighten your hair but trust me your hair will thank you later!! :)

Best of luck,

Lindsay

How do u straighten your hair with an iron and not have it smell?

when u straighten ur hair, it dries out all the liquid in ur hair. if it smells, it's burning the oil on ur hair, which means u just need to have clean hair.
