Is it ok to straighten hair after using hair serum?

I am using garnier fructis anti frizz serum in my damp hair and then straighten it when it's dried but am unsure if you are supposed to starighten hair with straightners after putting serum in it. I hope this makes sense - please help someone!

Yeah - serum is a good idea as some of them actually protect you hair. Just wipe you straightners afterwards so there isn't a build up of hair products on them.

I do it every day! But, I use an oil-free face moisturizer in it after i finish straightening it. Staighteners take out all the moisture from your hair...so its always good to put some back in. But if you are dealing with frizz...maybe you could look for anti frizz serum that goes in dry hair to use after the straighter. I dont know if the lotion or moisture will make your hair frizz. You might just want to experiment with the options I gave you and everyone else opinions. :) Good Luck!

Yep, no problem. I like to clean my straighteners once a month by dampening a cotton wool pad with nail varnish remover (pure vodka or methylated spirits would work too) and gently wiping over the plates. (Obv. make sure your straighteners are cold and unplugged when you do this). The nail varnish remover is best at dissolving greasy hair products and evaporates quickly, so no problem with the electrics!

It is perfectly ok ,providing you use a heat protection styling spray for straightening hair toni and guy and harringtons do some brilliant products in these range also tresemme do as well.

You can buy tresemme hair straightening products or any others from places like superdrugs or boots.

Serum is especially made for your hair to prevent it from drying up. I t is highly adviseable that you use this on your hair to protect it.Do not apply large amounts to your hair,just a tiny pea size is big enough and work it through your hair when damp,you don't want to have a greasy head of locks.

I think it's fine as long as your hair is completely dry, but otherwise, no. The serum gets heated up by the straighteners and you could end up singing your hair.
