any chemical you put in your hair will damage it.

when you get it ofcourse its going to look nice and sleek and straight like its suppose to, so nothing to worry about.

and the dye/color in your hair will stay in it.

but after it fades ( which will take a year or a few months? it depends on the type of it you put in it)

your hair will end up looking like it did before you put in the japanese perm. except maybe a little more damaged, but deep conditioning could always fix that.

it will damage your hair so you have to put some serum for damaged hair and make it look silky smooth.

anything done against nature is wrong...if a person has straight hair they go for perming and who have curly hair try to straighten

first .....is your mom a licensed cosmetologist? if she isn't I HIGHLY recommend you go to a professional. Usually any type of highlighted hair doesnt respond well to ammonium thioglycolate(the main ingrediant used to straighten hair), especially if you dont have ethnic or hair that is strong enough. Im a cosmetologist and I havnt seen your hair but if you go through with this your hair will possibly melt and break off... to me its not worth the risk, there are a lot of awesome products that help with friz and curly or unruly hair, I myself have very curly and frizzy hair. Sometimes the better option is to just suck it up and get a really good flat iron ,smoothing products(i recommend paul mitchell super skinny serum and there whole smoothing line) and not wash it everyday so your not having to deal with styling it that much.if you have any further questions ill be happy to answer.
