How can i convince my parents to let me get my hair japanese straightened?HELP!?

i'm 15.

i reaaaally want to get my hair done with the japanese thermal reconditioning treatment, whhich is straightening it. but my parents arent so in on paying 320-460 dollars, which is what it would cost. my hair is soo thick poofy and hard to mannage. i would straighten it everyday for school, and that takes around 30 min. to a hour. i heard that if you get this japanese thermal reconditioning done you can just airdry your hair and it will be perfectly straight. or just blowdry it.

i want this soo bad.

and by the way, i would be paying for it with my money, but they still said no.

Hey =) Normally I would say just love your hair the way it is but since you find it hard to manage, well, I understand since my hair can be hard to manage sometimes. Here are some ideas for convincing your parents.

#1 Don't ask for about a week, if you ask too much too soon they will just get annoyed.

#2 Give them time to think over the idea. Present your argument/opinion calmly and then say that you don't need an answer right away, you just would like them to think about it and keep an open mind. This will show them that you are mature about this decision.

#3 Pick a time when they are in a good mood. Don't ask them right after they had a bad day, as this will just make them not want to consider it.

#4 Be extra responsible. If you act grown up as much as you can then they will realize that you can handle a decision like this.

#5 Walk in their shoes, think about how they are feeling and thinking. Doing this will allow you to come up with new things to say when you are asking.

#6 Be calm and kind. Don't have a fit, act as mature as you can (especially if they end up saying no) if you act super mature they may reconsider and/or keep an open mind.

Don't. You could just get it chemically straightened for a fraction of the cost. My hair is the same, I don't straighten it everyday, and it looks fine. You don't have to do it everyday, it's unhealthy, you just need to know how to do it properly.

well, why do they not want you to do it? obviously they do not know what it is like to have thick hair like yours. %26amp; if you're going to pay for it there is no reason for them to say no. sounds like they just want to be mean right now. i would wait a few days n then ask em again why they wont let u do it. i mean it isnt going to damage ur hair or anything. it will save u time on getting ready n your hair will look better.
