What is the easiest way to straighten hair without a straightener?

I see all the straightening irons but they all seem hard to use because I have pretty long hair.I saw this thing that you comb through your hair nad it dries and straightens.Any tips,advice,or help?

Blow it dry with a using a big round brush to help smooth it out. Straighteners aren't hard to use at all, esp if you first smooth it out with the dryer and a round brush. I have pretty long hair, but just run the straightener through it in sections quickly each morning. If your hair is really curly, it may not be that simple. My hair is pretty straigh to begin with, just wavy.

I've tried a lot of the straightening products and have not found any that I think really work, I wouldnt really recommend any of them.

straightening long hair is much easier than short, as long as you blow dry first.

Hey.

Ceramic straighteners don't ever work on me, so i came up with a different idea. I use a clothing iron! Any normal clothing iron will do, but you have to be careful.

First of all, it is a lot faster, and that will make you want to straighten your hair a lot! But keep in mind that irons are really powerful, and can cause damage. Before i tell you how, i would suggest getting some products if you want to keep straightening your hair this way. I always use a moisturizing conditioner (no fancy brand, just dove), and either, a protecting spray, heat protector. You may also want to use a smoothing serum to further protect your hair against frizz and whatnot.

Ok, now ill tell you how.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

-a clothing iron, like this, http://www.germes-online.com/direct/dbim... (doesn't matter what kind).

-a large pillow case, folded to be a bit bigger than your hand (or big enough to be a little bigger than your iron to not burn yourself).

-a brush

HOW TO DO IT:

1) Plug in your iron

2) seperate yuor hair in pigtails, focus on one side at a time.

3)start straightening your hair by taking a fair size amount of hair and put that section of hair over the pillow case and hold close to your head. and straighten. (its fast, and works).

4) straighten each side of you hair in sections starting at the bottom.

5) after your done and satisfied, use a finishing spray or smoothing serum if you like

I really like doing this to my hair, even tho it is not recommended.
