I use Clinique hair straightening balm, sometimes with a flat iron.

Yes! I go to Sally Beauty stores. They have a product line called "Beyond The Zone". There is a flat iron protection spray called "Turn Up The Heat" and a shine serum called "Straight Shot". They're pretty cheap too. You could probably get both of them for like $10 to $12. They both work wonders and they both smell good too.
