try teasing your hair! always work for me. Or it can also be called "backcombing". Just lift up a strand, then comb it in the OPPOSITE direction as you would normally comb your hair. ( so it's like towards your scalp). it may look a bit messy, but you can untaggle it afterwards

straightening it defeats the purpose of volume. It dries your hair out and makes it fragile and brittle thats why its so lifeless. Try blow drying your hair whil its flipped over and use a round wire brush

take a barrel brush and a just keep brushing it %26amp;%26amp; take a blow dryer and just keeep blowing and brushing it .

Flip your head upside down and spray. after spraying pick up the backlayer and tease it. Or backcomb with a round barrel brush or pick. then spray again.

the best thing to do is use velcro rolls after blow drying/straightning and after you remove them, flip your hair upside down and blast some cool air, and flip right back up :) good luck
