Humidity and straightened hair?

i know it's pretty much impossible to keep ALL humidity away from hair, but please let me know if you have any idea.

tomorrow, i have picture day, right after my strength training class (which is basically gym...) we spend most of the class outside running around the track. is there anyway i can keep my hair from getting wavy after i run? it's naturally curly, so...yeah.

will putting it up help? since i like, sweat on the back of my neck? i don't know...just a thought.

and the products i have available to me are:

- paul mitchell super skinny serum.

- paul mitchell gloss drops.

- s-factor shine spray.

- garnier fructis smoothing milk.

- regular hairspray.

- alterna hemp seed straightening balm.

those are the products i THINK would help.

i use a chi flat iron, if that's important (for those who don't know, it's a pretty good one.)

please help!

Couldn't you bring your straightening iron with you and go over your hair quickly after your strength training? I would think that would be the most ideal solution.

Humidity and straightened hair?

The smoothing milk from Garnier Fructis works well

Straighten Hair Before Piccys?

Even Maybe Hair Spray

You Wont Know It When It Photos :D

I have curly hair, too. On days like yours, I just put it in a little updo like style. I twist it all up and put a small grabby clip on each side of the twist around the middle or so. Then I let the curls hang down in the back over the twist.

ok so why wouldnt you try yo use them ganier smoothing milk is good ans there anti humdity line and also sunsilk de-frizz 24/7 cream ummm the paul mitchell super skinny serum didnt do to good it was to oily

Humidity and straightened hair?

definetly put it upp and try not to do alot of exersice

Humidity and straightened hair?

I have really thin hair that has a natural wave. I like my hair straight i use super skinny serum. I LOVE IT. It keeps my hair healthy, smooth and straight all day.

Humidity and straightened hair?

Why should it matter if you are running before your picture? Dont you take a shower after gym anyways? Use the CHI - i have one, it is amazing!

Humidity and straightened hair?

Yep. S-factor shine spray. If you could manage to find a defrizzer that would help, too. But otherwise, spray hairspray in your hands and rub it in problem areas of your hair. It should make it stay and also not have that hard look.

Humidity and straightened hair?

After you straighten your hair you can put it up in a tight clip and curl the ends. Or you can do you hair real nice and have you mom or dad right a not saying that you had a really bad upset stomach last night and do not have you run until you have been over your stomach flu for a couple of days.

Humidity and straightened hair?

there is NO WAY your hair will stay in tact the whole day, especially if you have gym before anything else.... i always try to avoid gym class routines when i straighten my hair, sometimes it gets me into trouble and sometimes the gym teacher doesn't care.... but it's worth it! especially after spending hours on the 'do'.

Humidity and straightened hair?

try a loose bun it might help. instead of leaving waves.

Humidity and straightened hair?

I've had this problem because I have been addicted to straightening my hair since freshman year and now I'm almost 20.

I would say try some hair serum, like that john frieda frizz ez stuff.. it's about 5-7 bucks and it comes in a clear bottle. You put about a quarter size amount after you shower when your hair is soaked, then blow dry it straight, then straighten it with a straightening iron. Maybe add some hair spray. That should help.

And if you are going to be really sweating then put it up loosely so you won't get a big crease.

I hate to tell you but, you may have to wear it curly. If you sweat, your hair is wet and will return to it''s natural shape. There is no way you could get it straight unless you dried it, and then flatened again. If you pull it up, you may end up with those indentions from scrunchies....I think the best thing to do is to barely work out in gym class, wear it down, and wipe the sweat away from your head as often as possible.

Good Luck

my school doesn't make you take classes like that on picture days. take a personal day for that class if your school offers them. your best bet would to but the straightening balm in while your hair is wet, let it airdry, straighten it, then spray it with hairspray.

Humidity and straightened hair?

OOOOOOOOH I HAVE CURLY HAIR TOO... AND I GO TO THE GYM SO WHAT I DO IS I GRAB MY HAIR AND I TWIST IT UP.. THAT WAY YOU WONT HAVE ANY OF THOSE ANOYING PONITAIL MARKS ON YOUR HAIR AND USE PINS.... TAKE YOUR BRISTLE BRUSH AND SOME STRAIGHTENING BALM....... IF ALL COMES TO WORSE JUST TAKE YOUR CHI IRON FOR EMERGENCY....( BETTER TO BE OVER PREPARED THEN UNDER)

Humidity and straightened hair?

Everyone is different. Garnier doesn't do anything for me. I like sunsilk but my hair still gets frizzy. It would prob b best 2 wash it 2night and straighten it. In the morning just go over it some with the flat iron. The day after I wash mine always looks better. Frizz ease works pretty good too

Y would u have to run b4 you take pics. What kind of school does that!? Taking pics already?

Humidity and straightened hair?

I have curly hair in the humidity also, and i hate it. I just straighten my hair (chi is great ;) ) and do a french twist to tuck it up under a baseball cap to keep it from exposure to humidity. can you not bring a straight iron to class, and use it in the bathroom before pics? Hope everything works out for you!

Humidity and straightened hair?

when i straighten my hair if i want to "maintain" it until i arrive somewhere what i do is put it into a pony tail to secure it temporaily and possibly use a sweat band so it does get poofy then after class comb- dont brush and possibly try Pink- its in the ethnic hair care section and is in an aerosol can thats pink with a black lid its under $5 a can and will last for some time...its a dry oil spray that doesnt make your hair wet- it helps seal in the natural oils and prevents the frizzies and fly aways we all get...itll also boost the shine and health of your hair.....another product i use is VO5 smoothing balm$4 per tube- use a small dot on the key points that youd like to keep calm and take a small dot, rub on hands and run over hair....this should help...Good Luck !!!
