hey! i had very curly uncontrollable hair, and i just bought a relaxer from target in the US for $6! they do not straighten completely, but they got out all of the curls for way more manageable hair!

but i would definitely straighten it if it was cheap, because it lasts long. but it will damage your hair, fyi

my mother paid 500 US dollars to have her hair straightened. It was done by an asian woman who has this new technique, it took her about 7 hours to finish and my mother only has shoulder-length hair. but it has been bone straight for 8 months now!!!

Well, before you plop down big bucks to fry your hair. Think about this...you can save money and striaghten your hair for the day, and the rest of the time manage those crazy frizzy waves and curls. Check this out...MIXED CHICKS Hair Care(www.mixedchicks.net). This stuff is great.

1.Shampoo, rinse

2.Deep condition, comb out tangles, rinse

3.Work the leave-in throughout wet hair.

4.Air dry (No towel or blowdrying)

5.Go

On day two, don't shampoo, just cleanse with the deep if your hair is dirty or just re-wet and reapply the leave in. You shouldn't have to shampoo more than two times a week.

For the occasional striaght look, use the same routine before you iron your hair straight. Mixed Chicks is a good thermal protector.

Might be worth a shot. If you blast with chemicals, eventually your hair will come back "home" and you will be puffy and fried. Mixed Chicks really will tame the frizz and poof and define curls.

Good luck!

Make sure that you check the salon out. They might not do a good job. Or the more expensive one which my sis went to some where in Essex. Also be carefull chemically straightening your hair can be very damaging to your hair if you want it done a few times as it's only semi-perminant. And one last thing that my sis said is that now she wishes that she had never done it cos whenever she goes out shes stuck with straight hair and cos its grown she wants to curl it but its really hard!

Hope i helped!

OXO
