make sure when you are straightening you apply a heat protecting cream first (I like hot straight by loreal) and do your hair in sections

to get really straight hair use a normal iron. Although this should only be done once a week to prevent damage, i would also suggest blowdrying your hair after showering then apply a small amount of straightening product from the drug store. It also depends on what straightener you are using. I would suggest the CHI although its expensive its well worth it!

I begin by blow drying my hair straight. Then I section off my hair with clips. I use a fine comb first and then go over it with a ceramic flat iron (keep in mind a GOOD flat iron is going to cost you some money - at least 50 bucks. buying a cheap iron is not not going to help you straighten your hair). Using a comb with each section really helps get it straight. Finish with some hair spray and go over any sections that are not to your liking. I hope this help.
