Usually it is as well as a cream that protects from the heat of the blowdryer.. there is a great one out there that protects AND silkens.. it is Redken Smooth Down

Before you straighten your hair,

you need a heat protecting spray.

Try a Matrix one! They work great.

That and conditioner is what keeps my hair silky .

After you wash %26amp; condition it put a touch of olive oil in it and blow dry it.......you'll notice the difference immediately

Before I straighten it I'll put in conditioner (not leave-in conditioner just regular) I use either pantene pro-v or garnier fructis. I also use a biosilk serum on top of the conditioner. When I decide to put my hair up in a bun I also replace hair gel with conditioner. Its been atleast 4 months since my last haircut and I still have no split ends, it looks like it was cut yesterday! If you have thinner hair (mine is think) this might not work for you. Good luck.

well i use olive shampoo and the third wash you should keep it in 3-5 minutes and rinse it out really good. blow dry your hair on medium(not high or low) when your hair is dry you can flat iron it....when your done just spray it with olive oil spray....don't spray to much
