When should i get my hair chemically straightened?

before the summer so i have the straight hair all through the summer?

or

before school starts so i have the straight hair throughout the school year?

ive gotten this done before and it doesnt damage my hair at all... no worries there. my hair is kinda poofy and spirally, and i dont have the time to use a straightening iron with my busy schedule.

If your hair is "puffy and spirally" then it sounds like mine. Don't get it chemically straightened, I know it's frustrating but you're just wrecking your hair. Plus when it starts to grow back you'll have a bumpy curly frizzy roots and really straight everywhere else. Seriously, don't. Just straighten normally with ghd's once in a while.

I've given some advice on how to handle curly hair already and it applies to you aswell so here it is.

NEVER scrunch your hair or bother with expensive mousse/gels!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...

You're wasting your money.

I have very very curly hair and when dry it always used to go massive, it was a big afro!

Now, after many years trying every product available, I've finally got it under control.

It now stays kind of flat, really soft and really bouncy. It feels and looks great and I'm always getting comments.

...So what do I use??

Conditioner! You WILL get through lots of conditioner this way but trust me it works, and your hair will be soaking it up like a sponge.

STEP ONE: Tie most of your hair up, leaving just the bottom part down.

STEP TWO: Get a blob of conditioner in your hands, then rub it through the hair

STEP THREE: Take a small section, then twirl it around your finger, make sure you twirl it really tight around the root.

STEP FOUR: Repeat all the way round until you have done the bottom.

STEP FIVE: Let some more hair down, then repeat the process.

STEP SIX: Eventually, when you have finished and your arms are hurting [lol!] finish off with a very small amount of john frienda frizz ease.

REMEMBER TO NEVER SCRUNCH THE HAIR IF YOU HAVE LOTS OF BIG HAIR.

If you do your hair as I have said then how you shape it is how it will stay all day. It will look fantastic!

It may take a while to get doing it quickly. When I first started the technique it used to take me an hour to do it [I have shoulder length hair]. Now I have the hang of it it takes me 15 minutes and then it is done and perfect all day long.

When should i get my hair chemically straightened?

Personally I purchased a product to straighten African American hair and I used it on mine. It was only $2.50 and did a GREAT job. I have strawberryblond hair and it is medium length, the product had alot of conditioner in it also and I will NEVER go have mine profeshionally done again when I can do it for $2.50 in about 30 mins.

When should i get my hair chemically straightened?

well depending on how long your summer is.. like mine 3 months.. so if you got in done in summer it would carry over to school year.. depending on how long it will last.. but your hair growth and all.. and the humid weather if thats a factor.. but if you get it done for the school year then you wouldn't have to worry about straightening it.. or you could buy other products to straighten your hair.. Good luck with your decision
