how do you straighten hair without using a press and flat iron.... is there any other way i can straighten it ..... My hair is relaxed, have thick hair and i dont want to damage my hair using a lot of heat.... how can i strighten it without a hot comb and flat iron...

I have thick relaxed hair also. I used to straighten it every day and it worked really well, WITHOUT a straightening iron.

I washed my hair and while it was wet gently brushed it so it dried fairly straight. Then when it was almost dry (not all dry!) I blowdried it on medium to high heat (keep the blowdryer at a distance so you don't burn your hair or your scalp), and every time it started to look wavy, I brushed it straight again with a thick paddle brush. Once your hair is totally dry, it's very straight.

If your hair is a bit wavier than mine, brush and blowdry at the same time. Pull slightly on your hair to make it taut (not too hard, you'll damage the hair), and blowdry that section.

A more effective but a little more tedious way is to clip your hair up in sections and straighten each piece with a blowdryer and brush until it's dry. Starting with the bottom layer, keep letting down and straightening pieces until you're finished.

theres really no other way... you can try using a blowdryer..maybe that willl work with a thick brush, especially if u have thick hair.

The only way to straighten your hair is heat related. The only other way is by using a blow dryer. The Dominican shops are really good with the blow dryers and brush. They do a deep conditioning on you hair and then blow dry it with a rolling brush until it is straight.

Blowdry with a brush or comb.. or use large round rollers after you wash your hair.. you hair will come out kind of curly but you can brush it all back out straight. use heat protectant for your hair.. snd dont put alot of heat on your hair all the time or will damage it

If you just do blow dry your not going to get the same end result. It's going to be poofy and big. Trust me, I have thick,curly, annoying hair. ( But I go have it straightened @ the salon b/c I've got way too much hair lol) Try using a heat protectant spray for your hair. Those hot combs are terrible for your hair. Try the chi, it's the best flat iron out there. It's a little pricey but worth it. Chi also has hair products to go with it. Good luck!

You can do a reverse perm if you want it to last for about 3 months. You can also control how straight you want it.

I can get my hair straight just by blowing drying but I like using my Sedu flat iron because it gets it really straight as if I were to get it done by my hairstylist. My hair is also relaxed and flat ironing it helps blend them new growth into the relaxed part. They also have serums and sprays you can use (I go to Sally's Beauty Supply or Ulta) that are heat protectors on blow dryers, flat irons, heat curlers, etc. I hope this was helpful.

You need a wrap set! Go to a beautician. You are going to sit under heat. If you wrap it up at night (your hair...that was for the peanut gallery) then you shouldn't have to use heat, other than to bump your ends.

It won't stay straight unless you wrap it up the same way the beautician does. I have a cousin (e'ryone has one) who does hair in her kitchen! She does my hair for me and it saves on the pocket!

You can go to the salon or any other store and get a chemically straightening kit... that would damage your hair a little but it wouldnt be bad ive done it to my hair a couple times.. if you dont want to do that then get a comb and comb your hair as you blow dry it then put hair spray in it..it should work
