I want to straighten my hair so it becomes thin and really straight, but my straightener doesnt make

recently, i went to the hairdressers, and he straightened my hair, and i fell in love with how it turned out..i have straightish hair, but he managed to make it thin, straight, and it stayed like that till i washed my hair again.

So i went out to priceline haircair, and brought myself a straightener $79 one (the assistant said that they all will do what im after), i brought some straightening creame and went home to try it out.

So i washed my hair, blow dryed my hair..and straightened it section by section.

After i had finished, my hair was straight, but it hadnt got any thinner, it just felt normal..

i dont know if its the straightener, it was a cheap one, or if it is me. What straightener should i use, and how can i get the desired hair style.

I know exactly what you mean. The cheaper flat irons are not very good at thinning hair. But be ready to spend some money -- at least $100. I highly recommend the Sedu flat iron. I have it and I'm very happy. It definitely makes my hair thinner. See www.folica.com.

if you seperate your hair and hold the straightener really tight and go down the hair slowly you will see the difference

you've just only managed to damage your hair..dont put anymore chemicals on it for atleast 2 months then go back to your hairdresser and ask her to do rebonding on your hair..your hairs gonna be straight for a long time..and you can have it done after evry 2 months..

I hope this helps! First of all, it's all in the products. You should use a straightening shampoo and conditioner. While blow drying, try brushing straight also. The best product i have found for a sleek, smooth 'do is Paul Mitchell's Super Skinny. Most salon's sell this. I'm not sure how you were sectioning your hair, but you should do underneath, middle, and top. And you may need go over each piece repeatedly. The assistant gave you bad advice. All straighteners are NOT created equally! The CHI iron is the best. If you can take the one you bought back, do so. Good luck!!

go to a salon and ask for a thinning hair cut or ask them to take the bulk out of your hair. They have a way of giving your hair a thinner appearance by layering it. my friends get it all the time and it really does work.

best you going to do and very effective way the way u want to have your hair done go salon and ask for hair rebonding it long for year before your curly comes back but if u have straight hair then everything is perfect bec u gonna have your hair nice and shiny and soft just all you need after a month of rebonding atleast do some deep hair treatment like hair spa or hotoil so good luck ,,

You do not have to spend $100 to get a nice flat iron. I have a $40 one from a local beauty supply store that does exactly what you are looking for. I believe it's called a Curlmaster, although it's a flat iron/straightener. The key is to use a comb when you are using a flat iron, comb the section of hair, the place the flat iron on it and slow move down, following the flat iron with the comb. This is what I do, and also what I learned in school, and my hair is always amazingly straight and flat.

if you want your hair thinner, only using straighteners isn't going to help. ask your stylist to do thinning scissors and thin your hair out. for your straighteners, don't but overly expensive ones becauss they aren't any better than expensive ones. andrew collinge, babyliss, fhi or toni and guy straighteners are the best in my opinion.
