Leave it natural..I did that too, and it takes forever. Recently I just put my hair afro curly...

My hair is naturally curly/frizzy aka. a fluff ball. So I straighten my hair all the time. Unfortunetely straightning it all the time does dry it out. So first off, have a shower every second day. That way the oils in your hair can start to build up again. Second thing is when you shower, use a hydrating/moisturizer shampoo %26amp; conditioner. You notice a difference almost instantly! Second thing is after you've finished with the shampoo %26amp; conditioner, apply a little bit of moisturizer body wash in your hair as well. It helps it shine and it doesn't let your hair dry out as easily!!

Also.. if you blow dry your hair before you straighten it.. like I do.. After you shower, towel dry your hair until is is almost dry, Than blow dry on medium heat. (I usually do this before bed, and straighten my hair in the morning before work)

If you have any other questions, don't be afraid to ask. I hope this helps!!! (it works for me all the time!!!)

Make sure you use good conditioner and a heat spray before you straighten you hair.

Use Tresemme "Heat Tamer" before straightening it! You can get it at Wal-Mart for about $6. I use it everyday, and it helps minimize damage, and keeps hair soft and shiny! =]

You could try using cream glosses or glazes by john frieda. You leave it on 3 minutes in the shower and come out with shiny, silky, smooth hair.
